"This Ms.-10 is technically in very good condition. All pots have been cleaned and the capacitors have been replaced. It has been tuned according to factory specifications by a professional (invoice present). This synth has a modification, because it incorporates three 2-pole switches that allow you to turn on and off the modification, accompanied by red LED lights that show if the modification is in operation. Complete with original patch cables (2x) !!. There are two stickers (see photo) of the relevant music store where this synthesizer was bought almost 40 years ago..."

Interesting bit of gear history. Only one other has been featured here on MATRIXSYNTH. Friendchip, or rather FRIEND-CHIP, also made a modular synth and rhythm system.

From the listing: "Pretty mean looking 80's machine from the Berlin company still in existence today. Arguably one of the best out there this Clock generator synchronises sequencers and dum machines that rely on analog clocks. Anything from Fairlight, Oberheim, Roland, Linn etc. Purchased on a whim to intergrate into my set up, never got round to it and as such whilst sitting there looking mean it's one of the 'excesses' I'm culling from my set up."

Cool bag!

"Very clean example of this mini dx that works perfectly and sounds even better. So many great 80s presets! Comes with case, sustain pedal, and adapter."

Tapographic Delay patch: Springtime

Published on Nov 10, 2017 mqtthiqs

"A complete piece starring the Tapographic Delay, used as a thickener/widener for a few simple sound sources.

Four sources go through the Tapo, fully wet with lots of slow modulation, set to the factory tapography in Slot A2. At the beginning I present the dry sources, from top to bottom:
- Rings on its easter egg,
- Skorn Da Bask,
- a noisy sine from Cinnamon in self-oscillation, modulated by Batumi random waves
- Springray self-oscillating through Three Sisters.
Increasing the Wet signal on the Tapo, we can hear clearly the stereo widening effect, the scattered repetition and the "chorusing" from the slow modulations.

Single live take, recorded direct from Tapo output, no effects added.

This is a byproduct of "A Year of Time", released earlier on Hylé Tapes:

Luminist - Super Metroid: Resynthesized - Small Boss Confrontation

Published on Nov 10, 2017 Luminist

On the gear: "MS20 Mini. the percussion is a mix of human heartbeat and some tom samples from a drum machine + lots of soundtoys primaltap for delay fx and a subtle flanger on some of the sounds to enhance the watery creep factor"

"Super Metroid has one of the best soundtracks of any videogame out there, so I decided it would be cool to recreate it in high fidelity using hardware synthesizers. Think of this as a sequel to the one I recreated last year. It's been a fun project and I hope you enjoy it!

When I started this project it was with the aim to license it legitimately
with Nintendo to sell the album on Bandcamp and other similar sites. Unfortunately at the last minute they blocked my licensing request, which means I'm not allowed to sell it. Unfortunate for me, because this project has taken literally hundreds of hours, but it's a plus for you because now you can get it for free! Download links will be at the bottom of this info.

There's one little setback - I originally planned to recreate the WHOLE soundtrack (notice the album title says Vol I) but at the moment unfortunately it looks like that will be pretty difficult. Time = money and I need to be able to afford to eat and stuff. Of course if people love these then I'll keep making them, it might just take longer :)

Weirdly, this licensing issue hasn't affected my original Metroid: Resynthesized project from last year, (I have no idea either, go figure) so if you'd like to support me please buy that one on itunes or google play, or grab my original music on Bandcamp :-)
