Erica Synths-PICO SYSTEM 2-small new patch with delay PICO DSP/PICO RND module

Published on Sep 8, 2018 Dziam Bass

"Hi Folks.
I have a brand new movie with Pico System 2 from Erica Synths and I always show it solo because I think it's a powerful tool.
check myself how I used the delay from the PICO DSP module with a oscillator PICO RND-random module and kick plus and stick from PICO Drums later a slight addition of resonance in Pico VCF1 Polivoks filter .
very fast, very good-looking, nice music space for which of course the system is praiseworthy.
if you are looking for something to start with modular - you just have it, but also many advanced users can afford large and interesting patches.
getting great colors is easy here when you have in such a small box of up to 14 modules.
check out my other films also with Pico System 2 solo, then you'll see how much he can do.
I will add with many modules, Erica Synths is still 40% OFF so it is worth to look at their website

Rare Godwin CD 2 Multi Instrument Desktop Preset Organ Synth w/ Rhythm Section

This one is in via someone looking for some more info on it. This is the first one I've seen, so I'm a bit curious myself. His main question is how to get sound out of it. If you look at the back you will see a MIDI out jack, a Rec/Play jack that looks like a MIDI/DIN jack, and proprietary Keyboard and Pedalboard connectors. If you are familiar with the CD 2 or Godwin organ synths from this period please leave a comment or reach out via email (you can find the email link on the bottom right of the site). Here's what the person that sent it in said:

"Hi i just recently got into synth`s and i bought my self a kawai k1, while roaming my local thrift shops i found what seems to be a drum module that i bought. i started searching on the web for info for this digital drum but i never saw the exact this version but i did found alot of godwins on matrixsynths, and tought you guys would be the perfect ones to ask about this. im woundring if you have any infomation regarding this module and also if you know what sort of connector the keyboard and pedal board is (the blue connector pins with what seems to be a hook) it would be awesome to find this connector so that i could get some sound out it, i have put 12 photos in this email of this module hope this helps"

C.H.U.D. (Martin Cooper and David A Hughes cover)- Prophet X, Moog Sub 37, Tempest

Published on Sep 7, 2018 EverettDudgeon138

"Another Music Video. This time for a much lesser known score. While the film C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers) has a pretty strong cult following it's score went unreleased for decades until Waxwork records released it officially in 2015.

On the original score the Emulator was featured prominently. In fact C.H.U.D. may very well have been one of the first scores to use it. In addition to the sampled sounds the score also featured a Roland SH1 and Linn Drum. Some other instruments included a Fender Telecaster, Saxophone and Steinway Grand Piano.

Of course this cover focused on the synth/sampler type sounds.

Instruments Used

Sequential Prophet-X Sampler (used from everything to the "C.H.U.D. voice", sewer sounds and a lo-fi choir/string sample)

Moog Sub 37 (Used for the main melody)

Tempest Drum Computer (standard Linn Drum kick)

Hope you all enjoy and remember....watch out for those manholes."

ADS-7 Analog Drum Synthesizer jams (with external reverb)

"ADS-7 Analog Drum Synthesizer direct mix out through a spring reverb into a soundcard.
No external sequencing, all coming from ADS-7 sequencer. Switching between pre-programmed patterns and tweaking away. Panning also done from the unit itself."

"///THIS IS A LIVE STREAM///
(Apologies for dodgy editing, stuttering and possible swearing!)

Here I am in my own personal music studio, patching together my modular synth to come up with some new and exciting music of ray new EP. This is using a eurorack modular synthesiser for the most part however there may be other instruments, MIDI controllers and more being used. This is kind of a diary and just a glimpse into my thought process as I am building up my patches.

Mother City Modular - Modular Meet Up - The First Modular Synth store in Africa

Published on Jul 23, 2018 Dash Glitch

"What's up YouTube!! So I visited what I think may be the first official Modular Meet Up in Cape Town! There was such a sick vibe going down, I had to get some footage to show you guys, the South African Modular Synth scene is growing :)

I was like a kid in a candy store!!!

In the video I managed to capture a super inspiring talk by Aragorn23, about some key differences between east and west coast synthesis techniques, and how he sets up his generative modular synth patches. You can find his music and other links here:
http://www.further.co.za/asqus/
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxLK...

A massive HUGE thanks to the legendary peeps at Mother City Modular (The first DEDICATED Modular Synth store in Africa) for organizing such an eye-opening event!! For all your modular synth needs, hit them up:
https://www.mothercitymodular.com/about

I am 100% going to be spending a lot of time at this store, let me know if you guys enjoyed the video, I'll be sure to make some more of this kind of content in the future! Maybe some in-depth looks at some of the modules they recommend :) Let me know your thoughts!

I am by no means a pro videographer, i'm using a cheapo amateur rig, I spend all my money on audio gear - apologies for that :)"
