"Tutorial/demo of the new MIX7 summing mixer eurorack module by Tiptop audio. You can use this to mix audio, CV or gates/triggers. In this vid I start off by going over the basics, then do a few demo and finally end with a mini-review.

MIX7 is a seven channel analog summing mixer module for Eurorack. It is designed for summing any of the different types of signals you’ll find in a modular system: Audio, CV, Triggers, or Gate.

MIX7 gives ability to sweeten your mix with more headroom using the power of low noise analog summing. A compact 3HP Eurorack utility module, MIX7 is an attractive mixing addition to any rig, especially with the ability to also combine rhythms, note patterns or CV automations from different control sources. The main output of one section can be connected to the input of another MIX7 to create larger mixing groups and complex signal routes inside your modular.

The MIX7 summing mixing circuit is built with low-noise operational amplifiers, giving it an excellent sound quality for mixing audio, the beautiful texture of classic analog mixing with plenty of headroom to handle hot modular signals, and the versatility to sum non-audio signals in your system to open up new creative possibilities."

Arturia Keystep playing Novation Peak arp and Elektron Digitone pads through Boss DD-500.

The album version is 3 different Peak patches recorded to cassette and a field recording chopped up by the Make Noise Morphagene. This version features the main arp patch on the Peak, and a variation of one of the other Peak patches recreated on the Digitone. There is also a new Digitone part added to add some low end.

DD-500 is used to create feedback textures. It is seriously a beautiful pedal (it reminds me of the Analog Heat, in that there are several algorithms to choose from, but there are a lot of options to customize the patch within each algorithm. Except the 500 goes way way way deeper than the Heat). For this video I am running everything through 2 custom patches in parallel."

"Korg’s masterpeice and flagship model the more lush and rare KorgTrident MK1. This outstanding synthesizer received a complete overhaul and refurbishment. It was fully serviced and calibrated by an amazing tech in Austin, TX. Power supply re-built (this is the US voltage version), capacitors, diodes, etc... replaced at spec where needed. All keys, contacts, switches, inputs, outputs and knobs meticulously cleaned. New battery installed (this did not have any battery leak). Everything is working beautifully. It’s sounds can’t be compared to any other synth. It exudes pure analog heaven!"

Roland JV80 Custom 80's Sounds

"In this video I am playing the Roland JV80. I actually bought this synthesizer brand new in 1992 when it first came out. Amazingly, after playing probably at least 500 gigs or more, it still looks brand new. What sold me on it was the acoustic guitar patches and it had a very good piano for that time period. It was my go to synth then and still is today during live shows. I had to learn to program it because I played a lot of 80's music back then and this was basically all I had. It was tough to create 80's patches with this keyboard. The factory synthbrass sounds were awful!! But somehow, I managed to create a really good Van Halen synth patch and used it for a ton of songs we did back then. I also have the big brother.. Roland JV1000... two synths that I will likely never part with."
