Physical 3D Audio Wavetable & The Sound of the Moon

Physical 3D Audio Wavetable from a guy called tom on Vimeo.

"An experiment of scanning a 3D printed physical wavetable for wavetable synthesis. A line-laser is used to scan the waveform via the camera on an iphone. Sound synthesis is written in openframeworks using the tonic audio library."

The sound of the moon from a guy called tom on Vimeo.

This is how the moon sounds - an experiment of using a camera image for wavetable audio synthesis. The image is interpreted as a heightmap and used to synthesize a waveform using openframeworks / tonic audio.

Erica Synths case with modules unboxing

Published on Oct 25, 2018 Dziam Bass

"After yesterday's delivery of great items from the 40% off and all day assembly of modules, of course we have unbonxing. We love to make such films so you can do something about us and look at Erica Synths shop and sell them because it really pays off.
The important info is that these modules will not be produced again and for the last part of the stock will never come back, that's why I emphasize this fact so much because I have these products in hand and are really great.
High performance and mega utility are certainly pluses.
in the movie itself I based music only on these modules and on PICO System II also from Erica Synths.
Very nice Tube Fusion Mixer added a little character here which nice to give a darker sound for the sum.
Also the melody is used for PICO VCO and PICO QUANT-Quantizer and the added space effect of Black Hole DSP-is a great module with 16 effects each with two control parameters, plus dry / wet. This is just a small part of what you can do with it, you can look at the offer of Erica Synths who has a huge amount of other fantastic modules.
Only the imagination can limit you, we do not allow it."

Roland Juno 60 vs Roland Jupiter 8 THE BASS BATTLE!!!

Published on Oct 25, 2018 synthartist69

"Both synthesizers do a good job at producing a warm and colorful bass. To me, it seems that the JP8 excels in clarity but the Juno 60 excels in color, that is with the chorus effect engaged."

Mutable Instruments Marbles - VCV Rack Tutorial

Published on Oct 25, 2018 Omri Cohen

"Marbles, AKA Random Sampler, is a great source for random gates and cv, adding lots of movement and uncertainty to your patches, but also has the ability, just like the Turing Machine, to repeat a certain sequence, while slowly introducing new material or processing the information it already has, giving an organic feel to the sound. In this video, I go through all its different features, demonstrating its functions with patches built from scratch. I start with the T section, the Gates Generator, I then move on to the X section, the S&H, then I go quickly through the Deja Vu section, and finally I take a closer look at how to use Marbles with external voltages, also at audio rate, and also how to use Marbles as an oscillator. Here are all the different patches - https://patchstorage.com/mutable-insr...

Here are some Timestamps to different parts of the video:

Intro - 00:39
The T section (gates generator) - 03:29
The X section (sample and hold) - 15:34
The Deja Vu section - 31:49

Using Marbles with external voltages
-----------------------------------------------------
Control Voltage - 36:53
Audio-Rate signals - 39:42

Using Marbles as an oscillator - 42:10"

New Shakmat SumDif Eurorack Module

Shakmat SumDif — Demo Published on Oct 25, 2018 Shakmat Modular

"A quick tour of the Shakmat SumDif 2hp module."

"SumDif is a dual adder/differentiator module capable of handling both CV and audio signals. If you send a 3V signal at the A input and a 1V signal at the B input, then the A+B will output 4V while A-B will output 2V. Numerous applications, like unity mixing, buffering and inverting, can be achieved; you can also experiment with Mid/Side audio processing ! The SumDif has a precision signal path and can process V/oct signals perfectly. The two jumpers on the back side allow to reduce the A+B and A-B outputs gain by 6dB.

Features

• Dual 2 inputs adder/differentiator for CV or audio (For example if the first input is 3v and the second output is 1v, sum output provides 4v and dif output 2v)

• Each section can be used as as a 2:1 unity mixer, a 1:2 buffered multiple or a signal inverter.

• Mid Side processing application

• Optional -6dB gain for the first section

• 15 mA +12V / 15 mA -12v

• Skiff friendly (29mm deep)

• 2 HP Wide"
