"In great shape, fully functional. This is an awesome and unique sounding old synth, the filter is amazing. I mostly used it as a poly synth, that is where the real magic is in my mind but the organ and string sounds are handy to have too. I've never had a single issue with this old beast..."

Same wall as this one.

"Prophet 5 Rev 2 that looks great and functions even better #0184. Recently serviced and fully restored.

The only non original cosmetic part on this Prophet 5 is the large logo that goes over the power supply. You have to replace those in order to service and upgrade the power supply. (this one has been upgraded to run cool) The logos, knob caps (some wear), even the wood is original. This is serial number #0184 making it an early Rev 2 if not the earliest.

Cosmetically this synth is in very good condition. The only thing I have done to it over the years is treat the wood as it got pretty dry. Both sides of the center spreader have come loose and cracked at some point years ago. I had a Gibson Custom Shop guitar luthier friend repair it with hide glue and touch it up and it is barely noticeable. (pictured both sides, you cannot really tell unless you study it but it is there)

I got this at House of Guitars in Rochester NY in around 1994. Before the internet all there was to do is wander junky music stores looking for treasure. This was the first Rev 2 I ever got my hands on. Here is what has been done to it over the years to turn it into the turn key restored P5 you see in this listing.

1. All tantalum caps replaced
2. Power supply rebuilt and upgraded to the cooler running version.
3. Original case cracks repaired with hide glue by professional luthier. (all rev 2 cases seem to crack, it is why they changed the design in the rev 3, the wood is all original on this one and in very nice shape)
4. I recently had it gone over completely by a competent tech and it is working 100%
5. Replaced all keyboard bushings. The keys are pretty well balanced but it is hard to get old Pratt-Read keyboards level perfect. They are what they are.
6. One control pot replaced.

The only cosmetic defects worth mentioning on this guy is a faint swirl scratch that I took a close up of that goes over the M in program and the P in Programmer on the face. You can only see it from certain angles and it is faint. Other than that there is just the touched up center spreader edges that look great but if you play detective you can see that they have been repaired. This guy is clean inside and out and has never been abandoned or abused. It looks SHARP and sounds even better."

"Two-panel Serge CGS/Random*Source system. Professionally built and maintained (not by me) in 2008 (BOG) and 2015 (Edelweiss). Includes power supply, adapter, cable, 10 12” unbranded banana cables, 15 8” Pomona banana cables, and 4 shorting bars. Literally plug and play. The enclosures for both panels are bolted together but can be separated. The power supply powers both panels. There is a low-output 1/4” balanced mono output installed on the side of the BOG enclosure (resistors can be easily swapped if higher output/less attenuation is desired).

Both panels and power supply very recently serviced by professional builder in Chicago. Surface of enclosures show minor scuffing and scratches; merely cosmetic."

Elektron SidStation CMOS 6581 Commodore 64 Synth Module SN D91100353-81

"The SidStation is pretty special: it takes the chip used for legendary C64 games like Elite, Paradroid and Boulder Dash and wraps enough pro audio I/O around it to make a studio-ready module that you can drive via MIDI. It’ll do everything from icy PWM leads to gnarly 8-bit pads to bleepy chiptunes, and it sounds like *nothing* else out there. If you’re looking for a unique sound that’ll cut through any mix, this is it.

This one’s in perfect nick: I’m the second owner, and in the 12 years I’ve had it, it’s been carefully looked after in a smoke-free studio. I’m selling reluctantly, and only because I’m rationalising my gear for 2 live setups, and the SidStation’s too temperamental for live use!

It comes with a slightly battered copy of the original manual and an aftermarket power supply that’ll put out exactly the right current. However, I’d highly advise also using it with a power conditioner if you’re running it from a domestic wall socket - SidStations do not like wavering voltages or power surges!"
