Aquifex - Minilogue + Kaossilator Live Jam 081520

"This is another 'one synth/all parts' demo with a slight exception. I felt this demo needed some drum machine type drums/perc, so I had to go outside the Minilogue to add some some bits, but all other sounds are straight from the Korg Minilogue, built DAWless live with a looper and some external FX from the Zoom MS-70CDR. The TheoryBoard was used with the Minilogue to create the opening chord progression."

WDR3 Studio Elektronische Musik: Fairlight CMI

This one in via swissdoc

"Hints to the start of Fairlight are given and why it was called Fairlight. Then I found this ressource:

Good stuff about the Fairlight and the early days with the Quasar M8." [previously posted here with a pic]

Googlish:

The mother of all digital samplers comes from Australia. In 1979 Peter Vogel and Kim Ryrie built the first copies of the Computer Music Instrument (CMI): processor, screen with light pen, pressure-sensitive keyboard and sound files on floppy discs.

For the first CMI synthesizer with sampling function, the musicians had to put 1 million US dollars on the table. The proud price did not prevent its triumphant advance through the world of pop and experimental electroacoustic music. On the contrary: the Fairlight CMI shaped the sound of the eighties and nineties. Today it is a historical instrument, but some composers are still using the light pen again.

"Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) is a highly-interactive, Semi-Modular Analog PercussionSynthesizer and a vibrant deviation from the traditional drum machine. As the newest addition to theMother-32 family, DFAM presents a uniquely expressive hands-on approach to percussive patterncreation, inviting a deeply personal bond with each human being it encounters.

Emphasizing tactile exploration and experimentation, DFAM inspires completely new and uniquemanners with which visceral rhythms can be synthesized, expressed, and experienced. DFAMeffortlessly moves from gently evolving undulations and cyclical breathing patterns to hammering bassand clangorous cacophony, but the true beauty of this unique instrument lies in its ability tocontinuously spark inspiration through the repeated discovery of new and dynamic perspectives inpercussive synthesis."

"The 1977 Moog Model D, serial #3334, is in good condition and fully functional. The synth has been bench tested, all switches, I/O’s and potentiometers work normally. The synth was stored several decades in a hard shell, foam lined case. There are various areas on the top of the Model D that the stain is lighter from foam attaching to the wood from years of storage."
