"This listing is for the Easel Command with serial no. 0710 0751; images are of the unit available for sale.

The Buchla Easel Command is the newly updated 208C in a standalone desktop form with MIDI and CV control. The 208C is the module itself for use in a Buchla 200e system.

Buchla’s own Joel Davel led the charge to create a new version of the legendary Music Easel instrument with more modular flexibility and independence, while also providing the means to easily interface with more devices, such as the various DAWs like Ableton and MIDI controllers, including the very expressive Sensel Morph. It’s still fully analog in its default configuration and provides the unique and exquisite Buchla experience with greater functionality at a lower cost.

Note: the Easel Command does not include the optional USB-A MIDI Host expander; this expansion must be purchased separately."

Hologram Microcosm: Cheesy FM Synth Sounds

video upload by Hologram Electronics

"Some cheesy FM sounds from an old Yamaha Portasound going through Microcosm serve as the basis for this track. In case you were wondering, yes, the name of this synth patch is 'harp,' and we ran this 'harp' through the Arp B and Seq D presets to create ambient and synth lead sounds, respectively. We then added some glitchy guitar and drums/bass to complete this dream pop track."

This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) - Talking Heads Cover w/ Vermona Perfourmer Mk2

video upload by Jannis Le Wolff

"In this video I'm playing this great song from Talking Heads, which is a band I deeply connect to. The sequences were created in Ableton Live, where I also added some additional processing during mixing and mastering.

It was a little tricky to find a song from them that fits into the Vermona concept, but I'm This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) turned out to be really fun!"

Prologue 16 Pianoish - Bellish - Heavy Key Sounds using built-in Analog Compression & Drive

video upload by Mark Steiner

"Well worth hearing in good headphones alert!

Exploring heavy weighted approached keyboard sounds I created for the Korg Prologue 16.

This synth has some great, unique strengths that are nice for this direction of sound.

These sounds use only the 2 analog VCO's and often only one of them. The only effects used are the standard ones that come with the instrument.

I love the digital engine, but here I'm exploring some things that can be done fully with the analog VCO's.

Velocity sensitivity driving volume more than filter and taking advantage at subtle levels the Drive (analog distortion) and the analog compressor on this synth.

Many of the built in effects are amazing on this synth... cinematic mastering quality. Rare in even the most expensive synths.

Having dialed in drive, compression and effects saved in a patch at subtle sweet spots is so valuable!

16 note polyphony makes it great for this too. And the high pass filter switch can push things the groovy clav direction.

Some of these also explore some bell/clangal tone types heard where a secondary VCO has a changing, non-static pitch in many variations of speed, range, and lowness/height of start point.

All sounds & effects are directly from the Prologue.

The Monologue XD's and the Prologue 8 can do this stuff quite well but the compression of the 16 really is worth having and is just great! It provides some really special tonal/response across the velocity range. So great to jam with and to be emotionally expressive with in slower passages.

The NuEVI wind synth here is also playing sounds in the Prologue. They are very different than what I usually play as they also are tone colored by a little drive and analog compression... giving them some of that speaker cabinet smudged tone these also can give the key sounds here.

Thanks for listening!"

Afrorack: Sound samples from the filter etched on a PCB (Very percussive)

video upload by Afrorack

"From the my last video that I uploaded, I was not able to show the filter from the PCB that I etched working. That is because 2 legs of one of the transistors were touching. More specifically their pads on the PCB. Anyways, I sorted that out and now the filter is working. The original filter from Yusynth is here if you want to check it out http://yusynth.net/Modular/EN/STEINER..." [mentioned in this recent post on Nyle Steiner]

I etched my first PCB! Well almost

"I am always excited to learn something new. This is a skill i've always wanted to learn since I build my circuits on perfboard. It didn't come out perfect but non the less I salvaged the circuit in other ways. If you have pointers on how to make better transfers leave a comment below."
