Comparing Juno-X vs Original Juno-106: Patch Match From Scratch!

"The comparison you're dying to hear! Two synths enter, but only one will be crowned KING!
Ok actually they are both *awesome* machines, but today's experiment is to show of how close we can get the newly announced Juno-X to the classic 106 from 1984 that inspired it.
We'll start with a initialized patch and build the sounds up as closely as we possibly can.
That being said, my poor old 106 is approaching 40 years old now and it has its own set of quirks and issues. After about an hour the outputs start to crackle and a some of the faders and pots are a bit scratchy or skippy. Its still an amazing sounding instrument tho, and the Juno-X really holds up to that legacy.

"Very rare Japan made clone of the Roland RS202. IMO a better and brighter version of the RS202. To me it has a much cleaner and livelier sound than the 202.
The tone controls are more like a low pass filter rather than a standard tone control. The ensemble effect is incredible and has 2 different intensities. This synth also has a dedicated bass output aside from the main output which allows for more discrete/parallel mixing or dynamic control options in a studio environment.
In excellent condition for its age and comes complete with the lid and original sheet music stand. Very clean and in full working condition."

Lovely voice spreading left to right and also "stereo animation" which moves the voices across the stereo field and is nicely visualised on the little screen!

"The Korg Sigma is a monophonic analog synthesizer made in Japan in 1979. It is a largely underestimated vintage synthesizer, because it is not widely used. Its organ-like appearance must have contributed to its commercial failure? open, it is a synthesizer with a very strong personality and expressiveness! The Korg Sigma is also a secret weapon for a sound designer. The Korg Sigma offers 2 distinct sections: the SYNTHE section and the INSTRUMENT section. Both sections are mixable and each have their own separate audio output. The SYNTHE section offers several stackable waveforms, each waveform has a setting: some have a combined ATTACK RELEASE setting, some a DECAY setting. The INSTRUMENT part offers 11 different sounds. These are the "typical" analog sounds of the late 70s; As for the SYNTHE section, each sound of the INSTRUMENT part has a setting, some offer an ATTACK setting, some offer a filter opening/cutting setting, others offer a TONE setting... "All rhythm patterns work without problems. The exterior is also in very beautiful condition. Complex rhythm patterns can be configured by pressing multiple switches at the same time. Subjectively, I feel it has a more elegant sound than Roland's Rhythm Arranger. I have uploaded a demo play on Youtube, so please take a look.
