Oberheim OB-X8, a monster roars at Superbooth

video upload by Hispasonic

"The first instrument from the reborn Oberheim is a monster for a variety of reasons: for its size and price, of course, but above all for the heritage it carries inside, condensing the sound of four great synths: OB-X, OB-XA, OB-8 and OB-SX, covering a golden era spanning from 1979 to 1983.

We had the chance to try it out at Superbooth with Gerry Bassermann, who introduced us to its classic sound engine, its new keyboard, its filters and oscillators, and the mythical 'page 2' secrets."

Sequential Prophet-6 Sound Bank '79

video upload by Polydata

"Drawing from the earliest days of polyphonic synthesizers, Sound Bank ‘79 for the Sequential Prophet-6 finds its inspiration in synthesizer music found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s.

A simple set of 30 patches for instant inspiration. Sound Bank '79 will be a series for different synths and plug-ins, so look out for future releases.

Early Electronic Music Techniques Explained #superbooth22

video upload by HAINBACH

"I was asked by Goethe Institut Tokyo and Gebrüder Teichmann to do a talk on early electronic music techniques, with a special focus on Stockhausen and the WDR. I had no idea how I could present the results of my research in a fun way until the morning it was due, when a friend asked me to connect the dots of what I was doing. What a better way then to create a piece, like I do on my channel anyway? Using techniques by Stockhausen and others at the WDR Studio, I assembled a piece with audience help in an 'Against The Clock' fashion.
I held this talk at Superbooth22, thanks to everyone at the stage, sound, light and film crew for making this recording.

"A high water mark for glassine pads, premier brass stabs, and surprisingly present basses, the Roland Juno 106 is well deserving of it's status as a classic synthesizer. All voices have been refurbished, this is a fully working specimen, with all sliders and pots cleaned and working wonderfully. Physically, this is a synth which shows it's age and use, but operationally this Juno is a superior sonic experience.

This Juno was just serviced by our in-house technician, all voice chips have been refurbished, all new tact switches and power supply has been fully recapped.

Serial number: 539586"

"Condition: By far the cleanest example of a Juno 60 we've seen, looks practically new with just a few minor blems -- includes the original box w/ corresponding serial number! You won't find a better example."

Waldorf Microwave XT - Non Nextel - Mint with New Knobs

"This is the rare Non-Nextel edition and in really good shapoe.
There are not a lot of Non-Nextels around there and actually this is the only edition who doesnt get shitty colors.
Hence the price. It's also a V3 board so it can receive the voice upgrade which is still available around.

Whats the difference with the Nextel versions? Most Microwave XT versions have that that terrible Nextel paint which decays (gets sticky, flaky, dirty and grey-ish) over time and this can't be fixed. The surface on the edition listed keeps the strong orange colour. I will add some pictures in daylight this was at dawn. Also this version hold it's value if you look at the website history it sells for around this price.

Also the synths had really terrible knobs which are decaying and get sticky and just break apart. I replaced them with premium knobs who look better and don't fall apart over time.

The unit is close to mint it has a few scratch from it's age :)
Display is perfect
Latest version produced so comes with Board #3, possible to upgrade to 30 voices
Original Adapter included"

"Roland System 100M D Set Analog Modular Synth For Sale. The D Set consists of the following:

191J Cabinet (100vac, Japanese voltage so you will need a step down transformer if using US mains)
150 Sample & Hold / LFO / Ring Mod
112 Dual VCO
121 Dual VCF
130 Dual VCA
140 Dual Envelope LFO
Comes with the connector cables used to connect the modules to the 191J cabinet. I will also throw in a handful of HOSA 1/8" patch cables to get you started.

This system was calibrated over a year ago and was fully tested before being put up for sale. Given the amount of time since the last calibration, you may want to calibrate this system again. The procedure is simple if you are familiar with calibrating analog synths."
