"This unit came to us in relatively poor cosmetic condition, so our tech removed the original paint and applied a clear coat. He also fully restored the insides to make this unit work perfectly and hopefully be more reliable than other Synares out there.
We sold one other silver Synare 3 in the past and it didn't have any labels on it. Our customer asked us if we had a way for him to label the parameters, so we gave a local graphic artist the originals and had him make us a couple sets of stickers. The sticker material is different from the original, but they do the trick. We applied stickers to this unit, though we think it looks better (and more mysterious) without them. We put a lot of time, love and money into this synare and the result is a perfectly working example that's justifiably priced higher than other lesser examples. Plus, who else is selling a silver synare?!"

"Synth, pedals and power supply. Meticulously overhauled - a process requiring 16 hours of valuable skilled vintage synth tech time - and way better than the other lower priced ones out there. You get what you pay for. It's like a Rogue but without a keyboard. Instead, you play it with your feet. Or via CV gate.
Here's what our tech did to this T2:
-Removed melted foam layer between front panel and faders and cleaned up. This stuff makes a mess and takes a long time to remove. So annoying and necessary for all Taurus 2s and Rogues.
-Removed slide pots, opened and cleaned and lubed, reinstalled.
-Disassembled, cleaned inside and out.
-Cleaned and lubed key contacts.
-Removed bender and modulation wheels, which were originally yellowed, and bleached them so they'd be white again.
-Replaced felt.
-Replaced rubber feet.
-Replaced terminals for molex connectors (x6)
-Installed new wooden sides.
-Recalibrated VCOs, VCF, VCA
-Replaced original adapter with new one."

"This is one of the original keytars. Connect it to your Prophet-5, strap it on and show that guitarist who's boss!
Since this is generally sold as a collectors item, the price is for an unserviced, untested unit without the special cable you’ll need to hook it up to a prophet-5. Any decent tech could make that cable for you, though the parts are likely not cheap unless they already have the type of cable required. We have no idea whether or not it would work once hooked up - we have no reason to believe it won’t, but, at the very least, this type of keyboard mechanism always needs to be properly rebuilt (bushings replaced, bus bar and j-wires cleaned, etc) in order to work properly. We would normally do this work but need our tech to focus his limited time on more profitable items."

"Knob caps where replaced with High Quality DJ Tech Tools Chroma Caps. All original knob caps are included. Last pic shows unit with rack ears and original knob caps (All Included).
The serial shows 0141 which means this is 141st unit to come off the production line. Originally all Prophet 08 desktops were made with encoders instead of pots. This unit was upgraded to the PE (Potentiometer Edition) in 2012. Which is why this includes the original encoder board that was replaced with the PE board. A Savey/Techy person can probably do something cool with the original encoder board."
