Mono-to-Stereo: PingPongInn, Stereo Overloop, & Cannabits

video upload by Critter & Guitari

"Let's do two stereo experiments with PingPongInn.

First:
Overloop Stereo makes nice loops in stereo! We'll play melodies with CZZ-multi that get panned by PingPongInn. Create spacious rhythmic textures with Overloop's delay as it gets recorded and layered on top of itself with each loop iteration.

Second:
We'll use PingPongInn to pan our bass guitar and process the left and right channels individually with two instances of Cannabits. All three Organelles are synced via Link! Changing the tempo on one changes the tempo on all of them!

04- The Arturia MiniFreak- Oscillators- Karplus Strong

video upload by AutomaticGainsay

"Here is a demonstration of the sound and functionality of the Karplus Strong oscillator found on the Arturia MiniFreak.

The theme was created out of presets and crafted patches over an assemblage of fragments of GarageBand loops. For all intents and purposes, it is a MiniFreak-Only composition."

90s (ish) Ambient DnB - Nord Lead 12 Voice, Zoom 1201, FAB Echo, SmplTrek

video upload by ChrisLody

"In the spirit of trying something new here's an attempt at a genre I've never tried before, Ambient DnB. This is something I've always admired when it's pulled off well, frantic background beats with smooth foreground sounds. Not bad for a first go this I think

The SmplTrek is doing most of the heavy lifting here. I used it's 'chop to drumkit' feature to chop up one of my own drum breaks, pitch it up and sequence it into a few variations.

I'm running the output in a kind of parallel processing sort of set up with two channels of the drum breaks hard panned, one high pass filtered and routed to my external reverb on the Zoom 1201 to give me tweaking control of the high frequencies and the other left drum and low pass filtered. Bass and strings also come from the output that is not routed to reverb but these use the internal reverb.

I then play some occasionally successful staccato lead sounds from the Nord Lead through a modded Fab Echo and that's about it."

Sonicware LIVEN Lofi-12 & Korg DSS-1| David Vs Goliath?

video upload by Espen Kraft

"Looking for a modern sampler/sequencer that can be a mix of old 12-bit Akai samplers and the Casio RZ1, while being able to do a lot more, the LIVEN LoFi-12 might be a good choice.
It does have that Casio RZ-1 sound (and swing) though, so based on that alone it's great."

Electra v2.9 by Tone²| Custom presets, Pads, etc

video upload by Chris Sneider

"The most stable version of Electra so far and the one with the best final sound, watch this video and compare with version 3 that goes out of tune and does weird and unexpected things with the sound, V.2.9 is the one I recommend until Markus makes the necessary adjustments in version 3."

VGM #204: City of Tears (Hollow Knight) Synth Cover

video upload by Amie Waters

"Hollow Knight, the game I said I would only play on stream, so therefore I never finished it. Still remember the first time I reached the city of tears though. Just sat there and took it all in. That whole area is a vibe. Thanks to my patrons for making me do this one! If you want to both support the channel and vote on which videos I cover, check out the patreon!"
