Roland Jupiter-8

"The 8-voice polyphonic Jupiter 8 is an analog monster, considered by many to be one of the most desirable synthesizers ever manufactured. Utilized by Alan Wilder and Martin Gore of Depeche Mode during the band’s heyday, and other well known bands, the JP8 is a classic. With two oscillators per voice, a great sounding filter, an arpeggiator, and the ability to split and layer programs, the JP8 is still hard to beat.

This Jupiter is in great condition and has just been serviced and calibrated. It does not have a MIDI upgrade. The only cosmetic flaws are a few scratches in the paint."

the guts of this unit were fully working when removed but the backlight was dull and not bright the shocks are worn and no longer support the panel.

the paint and graphics are actually in reasonable shape. 6 or 7 out of 10. ideal replacement for your damaged panel or chassis or to refurbish and rescreen to make a mint unit"

PTERODACTYL / Joranalogue Audio Design DELAY 1 / karplus strong sound processing / eurorack jam

video upload by BRiES

"Something I really only realised after making a few vst plugins (running on the Decent Sampler platform) is that karplus strong effects with a delay can create these wonderful outerworldly sounds. Something about the harmonics speak to me when you tune the delay line just right... I hadn't actually tried this type of synthesis (aka running a sound through a delay and then finding the right frequency on the delay). Instead of creating plucks I've never tried karplus strong as a processor.

So that's what I did with this prototype of DELAY 1 and I'm glad I did.

The newly annouced ROUTE 4 is taking care of the pitch sequence for both the lead and the bass (transposing, muting and gating a 6 note sequence coming from Moskwa 2. They all play really nice together, I think they're going to be friends."

Cherry Audio Mercury-4 - Sound Bank '79

video upload by Polydata

"Patches for an excellent sounding instrument. Drawing from the earliest days of polyphonic synthesizers, Sound Bank ‘79 for the Cherry Audio Mercury-4 finds its inspiration in synthesizer music found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s.

A bank comprising 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Roland Jupiter-4 analog poly synth. I honestly never payed much attention to the Jupiter-4, but this plug-in sounds insanely good, it's one of my favorites now. And the included Roland Space Echo emulation sounds superb.

Sound Bank '79 is a series of vintage tones for different synths and plug-ins, so look out for future releases. Recorded completely dry with no external effects or processing.
