"Super organic, extremely expressive, warm sounding synthesizer.

It could basically be viewed as a sort of single-voice CS-80.

Those two filters are rather amazing !

In a very good condition.

Included are the original upper case lid, chrome legs, and chrome sheetmusic stand (which is often missing for some reason).

A few flaws:

- Due to age,the filter sliders exhibit some static while beeing moved

(I wonder if there are any SY-2's out there without it - this is my 4th one and the 3 before all had the same to various degrees).

Rherefore, some cleaning might be needed.

- At the bottom of the synth, the compartment holding the power cord is missing a small metal piece, which is used to open the door.

Now a small screwdriver or something similar is needed.

Just minor flaws, but should be mentioned anyway, of course.

220 VAC

Thanks for looking, have a great day ! :-)"

MiniMod 6U Full System Stereo Filter Patch with the Gemini 2412 Dual SEM-based Eurorack VCF

video upload by AJH Synth Official

"Stereo filtering example using the MiniMod 6U Full System, now available to purchase from https://ajhsynth.com/Minimod.html, pre-installed in a powered case. This patch takes a mono (monaural/not stereo) sound and creates the impression of stereo movement by using the Gemini as 2 separate filters, with their own output VCA, and panned hard left and right in the mix. Each filter affects the incoming audio in opposition to the other, under the control of a single LFO to determine the 'panning' speed. Rather than panning volume levels, it is altering the frequencies allowed to pass through the filter to each VCA (side), but the results can be far more interesting than simple audio level modulation.
Another example of what is possible using just this single, modest-sized case, packed with an incredibly flexible, vintage-voiced, fully analogue, Eurorack modular synthesizer.
For a more detailed, step-by-step guide to using the Gemini 2412 as a stereo filter, and some more example sounds, see this earlier video, which also features a downloadable patch sheet: [posted here] The AJH SYNTH Eurorack range consists of high-end modules, all hand-made in the UK, most of which are based on classic, vintage designs, authentically recreating the circuitry of much sought-after analogue instruments and technologies of the past, whilst greatly expanding them, and bringing them to modern Eurorack levels of convenience, limitless flexibility, and reliability.

36- The Arturia MiniFreak- Effects: Peak EQ

video upload by AutomaticGainsay

"Here is a demonstration of the Peak EQ effect found on the Arturia MiniFreak.

The theme was created out of presets and crafted patches over an assemblage of fragments of GarageBand loops. For all intents and purposes, it is a MiniFreak-Only composition.

Sound comparison of Lofi-12 and Lofi-6

video upload by SONICWARE

Googlish:

"Lofi-6 is not just Lofi-12 with 6kHz sampling rate. Each product concept is different and the sound engine is also different.

As you know, Lofi-12 is the point of sound alias noise that occurs in digital recording.

Lofi-6, on the other hand, was developed with the aim of producing the sound that came from old analog gear. In the Lofi-6, each track is specially processed to suppress digital alias noise.
For this process, I had to cut the hum effect of the cassette tape simulator.

Also, in order to reserve resources for the tube amp simulator mode on the Lofi-6, the 12bit sampler mode on each track of the Lofi-12 has been removed.

Now listen to the actual sound. "

East Beast Patching With Bata

video uploads by Bata

"Grabbed the West Pest a few weeks ago and was quite happy with it so decided to try it's sibling as well. Overall I think it's good although the way some of the knobs are scaled is a little peculiar and hard to use. Setting the right amount of vibrato or a subtle attack amount can be quite tricky even for experienced synth rats. The filter, oscillator, and VCA all sound really good though. Audio-rate modulation of the VCO pulse width and vca level sound particularly good on this synth."
