"Rare 1970s Roland SH1000 analog synthesizer. If you are a synth-head like me you know what this is. If not, you should know that this unit was Roland's very first synthesizer. At a time when Prog Rock organs were all the rage, Roland designed this unit to sit on top of an organ rig. It is a true classic and an important piece of synth history."

"Since I’ve had it I’ve recapped a bunch of the boards, recapped the power supply, installed a new ensemble ic and I performed a few mods that drastically improved the sound quality.

This thing is very well loved!
I bought it from John Neff so if you’re into Steely Dan or David Lynch it’s an added bonus.

He had it since 1980 and I bought it in 2021.

It has a minty TOA microphone and it sounds great!"

Loopstyler, sequencer (live recording mode)

video upload by Gecho Loopsynth

"This is a quick intro into how the sequencer works. There are two modes, this is the first (default) one, where track starts running and then note events are added in real time (as opposed to step sequencing, where you enter all notes and rests one by one)."

Update:

Loopstyler, sequencer (step sequencing mode)

"The sequencer can also work in step sequencing mode, where you enter all notes and rests one by one (as opposed to live recording, where the track runs and events are added in real time). This demo only shows the very basic functionality, but there is more: you can enter multiple events at the same position, to create chords or combine samples. Also you can navigate back and forth and fix incorrectly entered notes. And these two modes can be used alternatively in one song, to help recording each track in the most suitable way, for example step sequencing for drums and live recording for leads."

Albers - CV inputs Pt 2

video upload by DecadeBridge

"The version of Albers available to customers has a few more features than the one in this video including:- LFO outputs.
LDRs can be switched to control Oscillator pitch or LFO rate.
3 way range switch for Oscillator pitch instead of 2.

This is a quick chiptune style jam using Albers as the only sound source. Stereo delay has been added in Albers. Albers' oscilator volumes are being controlled by several triggers and an envelope generator. The pitch of oscillator D is being controlled by an envelope generator and the filter cutoff by the Turing Machine."

DSP-99 Multi-FX Digital Reverb & Delay - DIY Module Build & Demo - Eurorack Modular Synth DIY - #9

video upload by M0THM4N

Audio demo at 3:35.

"In today's episode, I build and demo a DSP-99 based eurorack module I found through a Modwiggler forum. Let me know what modules I should build next!

Check out the DSP-99 Modwiggler forum project here:

"DSP-99 is based on Wavefront AL3201 DSP chip, Cirrus Logic CS4220 audio codec and Atmega8AU for control and display.

It has 100 programs, although many of them differ little. Nonetheless it's quite good investment for this money.

As DSP has rather low signal level tolerance (compared to eurorack levels), clipping indicator was included. Signal indicator was also added for convenience."
