Tela – Modal Synthesizer
video upload by Fors
Tela – Walkthrough
video upload by Fors
https://fors.fm/tela
"Tela orchestrates a vast array of resonant peaks, intertwined to form a critical mass of sound. It models nothing – it's a synthesizer for the here and now, to discover and create anew.
In a careful balance of depth and immediacy, Tela explores the inherent character and capabilities of modal synthesis. Like a practical joke, Tela bends a myriad of partials into perfect symmetrical waveforms only for them to dissolve into otherworldly timbres and textures mere seconds later. There are no rules.
Modal synthesis
Imagine hitting a thin piece of metal, a piece of glass or the membrane of a drum– the material vibrates and rings out with its inherent timbre, affected by the motion of the impact and the strength of the hit. This is the basis of what modal synthesis recreates.
SynTesla MOD-L1 Eurorack to Line Level Convertor with Spectrum Visualizer
video upload by SynTesla
Update: video is back for those that missed it.
"An audio spectrum analyser displays the frequency and level of the outgoing signal. The OLED screen offers very fine resolution and good detail rendition.
The small size of the screen is compensated for by a beautifully crafted optical magnifier, which gives this module a distinct appearance and an incredible look.
The audio spectrum analyser offers 10 different viewing programs selectable via a front-panel button.
- 4 output levels: Direct, -5dB, -10dB, -15dB
- 10 display programmes
- 6.35 jack output
- High-quality optical element
- Oled screen
- Requires 5V supply from powerbus
Availability : second half of 2024 through SynTesla.com

Erica Synths Introduces EDU DIY SNARE DRUM
Designing a simple analog snare drum from scratch
video upload by Moritz Klein
"No drum machine is really complete without a punchy, snappy snare. Together with the kick, it creates the rhythmic backbone for most grooves.
So in my ongoing quest for creating a Roland-inspired modular drum machine, I knew I had to come up with a snare circuit that would complement the kick and hi-hat I‘ve already designed. After a lot of fine tuning, I landed on a circuit that can emulate a TR-606, TR-808 or TR-909 snare."
No drum machine is really complete without a punchy, snappy Snare Drum. Together with the Kick, it creates the rhythmic backbone for most grooves. So for our percussion-focused second season of educational DIY kits, we knew we had to come up with a Snare circuit that would complement the Kick and Hi-Hat we’ve already released. After a lot of fine tuning, here’s what we came up with: introducing mki x es.edu DIY Snare Drum.
Features
Manual and CV controlled Tune
Tune CV depth attenuator
Manual Attack and Decay control
Manual and CV Snappy (noise and tone crossfade) control
Accent input
We – Erica Synths and Moritz Klein – have developed a series of educational DIY kits under the brand name mki x es.EDU with one specific goal in mind: to teach people with little-to-no prior experience how to design analog synthesizer circuits from scratch. What you’ll find in the box is not simply meant to be soldered together and then disappear in your rack. Instead, we want to take you through the circuit design process step by step, explaining every choice we’ve made and how it impacts the finished module.
NB! All kits in these series are simple and come with extensive user manuals which can be downloaded separately, therefore we will not provide customer support in case your DIY build fails to function or similar.

CR78 Drum Machine Sample Pack Demo by DDA
video upload by DinDrum Audio
"Demo for the DinDrum Audio Sample Pack 'CR78 - Drum Loops & Hits'
Demo made with Loops and Kits from this Pack.
Available at https://dindrum.com
Most people know the CR-78 (Released in 1978) as the first mass production user-programmable drum machine,
(first programable Drum Machine was actually the EKO ComputeRhythm with only 15-25 made*)
but many do not realise that the CR78 was the first drum machine to offer external synchronisation options, both external clock in and trigger clock out. This made it a solid time keeper, allowing tight integration with other electronic instruments in the electronic music studio.

Introducing Morbus Legio noise generator and distortion processor from Noise Engineering
video upload by Noise Engineering
"Morbus Legio from Noise Engineering is a unique processor and noise generator combination!
If you already own a Legio module, this firmware is available for FREE: https://bit.ly/4aZc0JV
Visit our Customer Portal to swap your Legio module to this firmware: http://bit.ly/3JvmC8N
The Frequency encoder changes the frequency of the noise and bypasses when tapped. Harsh changes the sample rate, and Color changes the color and width of the noise. Each of these parameters can also be CV-controlled.
Switch between three modes for wave folding, and add a vintage-inspired Chorus.
Use Morbus to process an external signal with its stereo inputs. Soft clipping, wave folding, full-wave rectification distortion, and chorus can all be applied to the incoming signal, and the internal noise oscillator can be mixed with the output or bypassed."
