Gorgeous white Juno-106 via CustomSynth. Be sure to check out their website for more custom designs. Not a bad way to bring back a beaten up synth.

Electrocomp EML-200 Analog Synth Korg SQ-10 Analog Sequencer

"As many of you know, we are vintage synth dealers. Unlike most sellers, part of what WE do is testing things out thoroughly - every jack, every knob, etc... And sometimes we actually get to have fun! :) Today, while going through one of our Electrocomp EML-200's with one of our Korg SQ-10's for one of our favorite customers, I made an interesting sound I thought some of you Youtubers would enjoy. So here it is! I hope you like it... Please, no glove questions or comments or requests for cover songs, ok?! ;) Email me anytime at minime123 at onebox.com"

Programming and tweaking a Roland MC-202

YouTube via sifkasifka2 aka JB.

"This is to show that programming a MC-202 is pretty simple, even though it's ancient technology. It shows the whole process, right after plugging it in. I first program a sequence by playing it in real-time, no need to follow a precise tempo as it auto-quantizes itself. I run through the steps again to input portamento, in this sequence i do it on every step, so i can control the amount on any step with the portamento knob (you can also program it into specific steps, same as with accents). I check the sequence to see if i like it, i then choose the "cycle" function to have the sequence loop at its end point. I start Ableton Live to sync it and start tweaking. The beginning uses only the triangle wave, sounding close to a TB-303 bassline, the square wave is then added into the mix, followed by the sub-oscillator, making it very fat sounding, at that point it sounds like a typical SH-101 bassline. The MC-202 is being synced by Ableton Live's midi clock message going to a Novation Drumstation. The Drumstation transforms the midi clock into a DIN-sync signal, it also plays a 909 beat. This was a relatively simple sequence, it can get more complex, with the second channel controlling a second synth via cv, and sequences playing up to 2600 notes. Thanks for looking at my video!"

Analogue Sytems - RS130 - Programmable Scale Generator

via this auction via Mark.

Details:
"From the Analogue Systems Website -

The RS130 will offer four preset scales and memory for one user-defined scale. It will have a range of 63 notes, plus a trigger output generator. There will be gated and "free" modes for a wide range of applications.

RS130 Programmable Scale Generator you should study the section of this manual that describes the philosophy and operation of a conventional Quantiser. You will find this in the chapter he rest of this chapter will assume that you have already done so, or that you are already fully acquainted with the ideas relating to voltage quantisation.

To recap, a Voltage Quantiser is a device that rounds (or " quantises") every voltage passing through it up or down to an exact sernitone. This means that any voltages output by the Quantiser will lie on one of the 12 sernitones of the conventional 'even-tempered' scale

A "Scale Generator" (or Scale Quantiser) takes this principal one step further: it quantises the signal in such a way that the output conforms to a predetermined musical scale. Examples of such scales are the common 'major' and 'minor' scales.

A programmable scale generator goes further still: while it may include predetermined scales as options, it also allows you to choose the notes that define any required scale. The RS130 is such a device.

Like the RS260, the RS130 incorporates software that ensures glitch-free transitions between quantised notes, and offers the same two timing modes. These are "Free Run", in which the output CV shifts every time the input changes enough to move from one note to another, and "Gate", which requires a pulse to tell the device when to detemine the next note.

But in addition to these, the R130 incorporates no fewer than six quantisation modes, and you must fully understand these if you are to get the best from the module."

Andromeda A6 Demo

"This song was made 100% with the Alesis A6 Andromeda analog synthesizer, including drums, multitracked. No other sound source was used. Delay and compressor was used, but no EQ. It´s fully inspired by the Pete Heller remix of Faithless´s "Music Matters". It was made to show the tremendous A6 capabilities."

via Juno6. Be sure to check out Juno6's public channel.

What amazes me about this track is just how versatile the A6 is when it comes to character. Many synths like the Nord Lead, Roland Junos and others have a certain specific sonic palate about them. The A6 on the other hand is like a chameleon. It isn't limited to one type of character. Every time I listen to it I discover something new, something I didn't think it was capable off. This track does a good job at showing how clean the A6 can sound. Most of the patches I've been creating with my A6 have been much more fuzzy and bold. Looks like I need to start cleaning it up a bit.
