    Simple but oh so effective.

  5. I found them, the 'what's wrong with this picture' thingies. The AKS is patched (pinned?) but not connected whereas the modular appears to be connected but not patched. Can't fool me.

  6. Yeah...$25000 worth of synths going through $150 worth of mixer monitors. Probably sounds like crap :(

  8. I love the smell of trolls in the evening!

  9. oops, I fed it... when will I learn? :/

  10. Thats no troll.

The THD and nose floor on the B gear is really awful. Their monitors are anything but flat.

Why put all that high-end gear through low-end PA? That is serious sound degredation, right there.

  11. Like putting a Classic 1959 Les Paul through a $20 Sears amp - schweet shounding shongs!

    Really depressing!

  12. There was a time when the Synthi cost as much as that Berhinger mixer... I'm not sure why that means, but I'm sure it means something.

  13. I don't get jealous often, but I am of that synthi.

  14. The guy might work with headphones and own 10 pairs of high-end ones too, or have an API board on the opposite side of the room. Even more probable, knows people with access to Neve console and Otari tape decks when he needs to record something. The saltiness towards people with gear you wish you owned has got to go dudes. Totally pointless.

  15. Get real Benjamin, there was never a time in history where a cheapo behringer mixer cost as much, or even close to a Synthi. Perhaps that was a dream you had. ;)

  16. Jealous of the Synthi? I'm jealous of the OWNER of the Synthi. No one sticks pins in me and expects me to make funny noises.

  17. ha ha I knew the Behringer mixer /speakers would get people upset :-) the Serge Synthi AKS go into the Presonus Firepod, the xox,tr606,machinedrum etc go into the Behringer for live fun and can also go into the Presonus believe it or not!,,,,I am looking at Allen Heath mixer at moment...I cant afford SSL :-) nor do i have the space.
If you want to give me a great mixer by all means do :-)

  19. Looking at the photo, I probably would make a statement about getting good monitors as well.

But there's certainly a nicer way to phrase it! ;)

  20. again i stress

I have had the monitors for about 2 years I have used them about 3 times, I use headphones as monitors arent suited to my environment

    ReplyDelete
  21. Um, I used a "winky" ;)

No stress. I use a couple of nice pairs of cans in my studio too.

Nice Serge BTW! I'm a *huge* fan and run a Serge resource site on my webpage.
