Logic Switch
YouTube via dkimcg
"Model 26 is used with the Model 14 to create the logic to turn on and off the Model 28 Programmable Tap Clock. I got inspired while watching James Cigler's Model 28 video and thought I'd give it a try on a patch that's setup now. Kinda neat, not super useful w/o a lot of modules, but it was nice to see analog logic working in my modular."

KORG Delta
"Korg's fully polyphonic Delta is a pretty unique synth. The synth section allows you to combine oscillator footages and has its own ADSR, while the string section has an EQ and a simple AD envelope generator. The two can be combined so you can have a percussive synth sound followed by swelling strings. Both sections go through a gorgeous sounding filter that switches between low pass and band pass. The filter can be swept from the joystick, which can also modulate both the filter and oscillator with the LFO or, oddly, the noise source. Overall a nice surprise and sonically unique compared to Korg's Poly-Ensemble, Lambda, or Sigma."

Octavius Squeezer

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend us your rears, for the arrival of Octavius Squeezer is nigh! Available starting mid-2008, Octavius Squeezer is the only analog bass pedal you need. Designed specifically for bass guitar, Octavius Squeezer has true analog reconfigurable signal path technology, true bypass switching and a comprehensive array of analog synth, octaver, fuzz, envelope filter and other effects driven by a convenient digital preset system. With all this plus tuner and metronome in a size that fits in your gig bag, this is one pedal you simply can't afford to be without! Listen to it now!
Octavius Squeezer includes a dedicated filter circuit bred in our Agent 00Funk and Agent 00Funk Mark II envelope filters. It also includes the fuzz circuit from our Brown Dog gated bass fuzz. A digital pitch tracking stage tracks the notes you play right down to the bottom of your instrument's range and drives an analog synthesizer which can produce various waveforms at either the same pitch as your input, one octave down, one octave up or two octaves up. All of this can be patched, mixed and configured in a variety of ways to give an enormous array of available effects.
Use the effect control to switch between the 96 user-editable presets that can be stored in the Octavius Squeezer's onboard memory. Adjust any of the presets on-the-fly with a twist of the param knob. See the current effect and parameter settings clearly displayed on Octavius Squeezer's backlit LCD. Use the two user-assignable footswitches to bypass, tap tempo and switch effects on the fly. Save and load additional presets to SD card (like the one in your digital camera) using the onboard card reader, and use it to upgrade Octavius's firmware as new versions become available." Doepfer Drums

"This is a patch I created using my new Doepfer modular synthesizer.
Basically, the LFO (A143-3) I'm tweaking goes into the clock divider (A160) and clock sequencer(A161), giving me the gates to trig the quad ADSR (A143-2). I'm using three filters, one set to resonate (making the tinkly sound) and another resonating swept very low for the kick. The source is white noise.
Hope you like it!
(By the way, although the Doepfer is going through a Nanoverb, it's bypassed. The reverb you hear is the A199 Doepfer Spring Reverb.)"

NMAT - Guess the Samples
"Basically, mix in the song Sexual Healing (Marvin Gaye), Steam (Peter Gabriel) and an old Disney cartoon (Oh Yeah). I think it works well, even if it is a sample too far."

Great Improvements of the Serge Triple Osc M-odule
via Bakis:
"via Rex Probe himself:
'about the new NTO & PCOs:
The VC FM index on the NTO is now linear with no base line pitch shift
The SYNC inputs work much better, with the points of tuning between the master & slave optimized. The sync 'grab' is now much 'deeper' into the harmonics.
The portamento section of the NTO is much smoother with lower harmonic distortion and better linearity.
Because of many improvements to the circuit associated with the SINE output, the sonic purity is greatly improved and with it the swept sine into the FM inputs
sounds great!
All the waveform outs on both the NTO & PCO have much improved sonic characters. Lower harmonic distortion, lower intermodulation distortion, lower phase noise, improved bandwidth linearity and improved jitter -- all without compromising their analog (phat) tonal richness!'"

Min/Max Melody II
YouTube via boobtube356
"Same patch as before, except now the A-111 output paths are separated. The min part A-111 is now feeding a square wave to the Doepfer A-196 PLL, and the A-111 pulse width is being sine modulated in time with the notes. The PLL output is going to the Cwejman MMF-1 (now in dual-peak bandpass mode). The max A-111 is now feeding the Cwejman VCEQ-3 and then on to the Doepfer A-121 (low pass). The PLL gives the bass line its crazy character, as it has been tuned so that it can't keep up with the square wave pitch changes. Narrowing the pulse widths to zero in the meantime is not helping either."

Wavestation A/D display

full size
"I've replaced the display in my new (old) Korg Wavestation A/D with a white-LED backlit generic 240x64 LCD from Hong Kong. It's much nicer than the original display. My digital camera wouldn't take its picture for some reason - it shows up as a washed out white colour - the k800i did a better job but still doesn't show up how rich and contrasty it is. I am very pleased with the results!"
AudioCubes manuals now available in multiple languages

We decided to kick off the translation of manuals by offering Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and German versions. We keep the manuals in a wiki, which offers excellent support for writing documentation and maintaining it across many languages (wikipedia.org is an excellent example of this).
If you live in a country with a language not yet supported by us, feel free to email us and let us know,
so we can take your request into account on the next update of the manuals. If you would like to do a translation of a manual into a new language, send us an email, we’ll support your effort and make
sure to reward you for your hard work."
