4MS Meta Module: Demo & Explorations
video upload by Sarah Belle Reid
"In this video I share a walkthrough and demo of Meta Module made by 4MS. MetaModule is a Eurorack module that can act as a virtual modular synth, letting you swap out different modules and build virtual patches that you can interact with using the front panel knobs.
I'll start with an overview of what Meta Module is and how it works, then I'll walk through two different ways of building patches using Meta Module (directly on the module itself and using VCV Rack on your computer), and I'll share multiple different use cases for which Meta Module can be especially helpful. I'll also share lots of demos, patches, and sounds along the way!"

Ambient ghosts - Vhikk X, 4ms Ensemble and SMR, Elta TSC 12
video upload by Jay Hosking
"Two ambient songs performed live with a eurorack case.
Buy these songs on an album here: https://jayhosking.bandcamp.com/album...
This is why eurorack exists to me. I would never come to these sorts of results through any other workflow or gear, would never stumble on these harmonies or gently cascading notes, would never feel out the song progression on a computer or even with a more traditional hardware setup. There are many things eurorack doesn't do as well, but moments like this make me realize why it's so special.
Please go give the album a spin.
Three voices: Forge TME Vhikk X, 4ms Ensemble, 4ms SMR
Control surface: Elta TSC 12
Effects: Intellijel FX 1U, Strymon Magneto, Noise Engineering Versio, Happy Nerding FX Aid XL
Modulation: ALM Pamela's Pro Workout
Mixing: Intellijel Mixer 1U, Befaco STMix
Thanks for listening.

Skirting the Narrows
video upload by davidryle
"Instruo Harmonaig and MI Marbles with Acid Rain Technology Ripsaw and Doepfer A-111-4 and A-105-4. These quad vcos and filter setups were used along with some 5U large format modules from Synthetic Sound Labs, synthesizers.com, Grove Audio, Oakley Sound Systems and Moon Modular to present various sound sketches of the Harmonaig's chord outputs.
The percussive opening part trigger pattern was taken from the 4MS Quad Clock Distributor, RCD, and a switch module. The Modcan dual delay was time shifted using a triple switch module in the 5U.
Additional transpose sequences were mixed from the dotcom Q960 and Marbles to the Harmonaig.
All sounds were recorded in real-time to Cubase and video edited in Final Cut Pro."

Patch notes via the 4ms forum: https://forum.4ms.info/t/sequencer-ph...:
External Audio Path:
-Main audio outputs on channels 1 and 2
Internal Audio Path:
-The output of 2 modal synthesizers are fed into the Pressed Duck
-A kick, rimshot, and clave module are fed into the Pressed Duck
-The Pressed Duck’s main outputs are fed to channels 1 and 2 on MetaModule
Internal CV Path:
-A Count is used as a master clock source
-The main output of Count clocks two step sequencers
-The reset output of Count resets both step sequencers
-All 3 outputs from the SEQ 3’s are fed into a dedicated sequential switch.
-The switches step through on the 1st downbeat of each sequence, going to the next
sequence at the start of each bar.
-The output of the sequences are attenuated and then quantized,
-After quantization the sequences are then sent to an octave module for final pitch value.
Metamodule Knob Mapping:
A - Kick volume
B - Rimshot volume
C - Clave volume
D - Bass volume (modal synthesizer #1)
E - Lead volume (modal synthesizer #2)
F - Reverb Amount
U - Compression amount
V - Feedback amount
X - Master volume
