Studio Ambient Session with Moog One, Prophet-10, Music Easel : Soundwalk 2025-10-10
video upload by atnr
"A piece created with @SequentialLLC Prophet-10, @MoogSynthesizers Moog One, @buchlausa Music Easel, and modular synthesizers — an ambient electronica track built from layered sounds recorded while walking around the studio.
The Prophet-10 is connected to a blueSky reverb, played with long release settings while manually opening and closing the filter.
Both the Moog One and @NordKeyboards Nord Lead provide synth pads. The Nord Lead runs through the @gfisys Specular Tempus with a deep reverb.
In the small Intellijel modular case, the @MAKEN0ISEMUSIC Morphagene plays back recorded piano sounds, with additional reverb added via a Clouds clone.
In the 7U Intellijel case seen on the right side of the screen, the Instruō Cs-L is processed through QPAS and Mimeophon for filtering and delay effects.
The Music Easel is connected to a @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MKII, adding rich reverb. The Easel is played with noticeable portamento while performing on the keyboard."

Tranquil Micro Worlds & Ambient Electronica | Live Music + Microscopic Creatures
video upload by Saul Stokes
On this episode of Frequensea, I build a live electronic track to coincide with microscopic videography created by Geoffrey Attardo, Ph.D. Geoffrey is an Associate Professor at the Department of Entomology and Nematology at UC Davis in California. Halfway through the performance, I talk about how the videos were made and what Wetland they are from, along with a short conversation about some older musical gear that found new life in my studio.

MOON Part 2 - Ambient Modular #19 // Subharmonicon, Rings, Take 5, Juno, Analog Four
video upload by David Falcon
"Parte dos de dos de esta mini serie. Misma secuencia en el @MoogSynthesizers Subharmonicon pero con un arreglo completamente diferente.
En este he añadido un par de elementos en post, ya que en la segunda parte necesitaba un pequeño empujón el tema. Para ello he usado el @SequentialLLC Take 5 y la emulación del Juno de @ArturiaOfficial .
Muy contento con el resultado.
Espero que esta comparativa os haya resultado interesante.

Part two of two of this mini series. Same sequence in the Moog Subharmonicon but with a completely different arrangement.
In this I have added a couple of elements in the post, since in the second part the topic needed a little push. For this I have used Sequential Take 5 and Arturia's Juno emulation.
Very happy with the result.
I hope you found this comparison interesting."

Introducing The Mutable Challenge
video upload by Gaz Williams
"The Mutable Challenge is a tribute to the late, great Mutable Instruments, the most innovative of all Eurorack makers, who ended their journey in 2022. In this challenge, participants start with a rack entirely filled with Mutable Instruments modules and have one hour to create anything they like—be it a tune, a riff, a sound effect, or even pure noise—to showcase the unique and creative potential of these iconic modules. With official Mutable patch cables and just two other pieces of gear allowed—an Arturia KeyStep 37 and a Cre8audio Assembler mixer—participants are free to let the Mutable magic unfold.
*utility cables kindly provided by Synthcables.com
Big thanks to Tom Kirton for Yarns and to MonoJack from BeepBoop for the kind loan of Edges"
The Gaz Williams' Mutable Challenge/Tribute - Row 01
video upload by Cinematic Laboratory
"Let's just all celebrate Mutable Instruments. I met Gaz Williams @GazWilliams on Dutch Modular Fest (2025) a week ago. I couldn't do the test myself, but I was really inspired by his inititative. Mutable is probably the most influential brand in Eurorack and beyond. You can easily find clones that suit your budget, and nearly all modules are available in VCV. If you feel like patching along, I will share a few tips and tricks (trips) and hopefully help you find a few new happy accidents.

The Finish Line
video upload by davidryle
"Having a little fun with the Q960 sequencers and the Moog Matriarch.
The Q960 pair are set up for index sequencing on the bass line. This is a fun way to mangle the bass line but keep it steady in time with the drum pattern. The gate duty was handed to the Dotcom Q172 quantizer for only sending gates when there is a change of pitch voltage. This helped to avoid the typical pulse rhythm.
The bass voice is a pair of Synthetic Sound Labs TZ-VC Oscillators in FM coupling. There is a third VCO from SSL for a sine wave sub-oscillator. These are mixed through the Corsynth C114 transistor drive mixer to the Oakley Voltage Controlled State Variable Filter in low pass mode. The signal is split and sent through the Modcan 73B stereo echo delay and also a dry signal is driven by a second Corsynth T-Mixer for added saturation.
The drum sounds are from the Delptronics LDB-2E and the TipTop SD808 snare. There is a Mutable Instruments Grids and the Moon Modular 563 trigger sequencer coupled to trigger the modules. The snare is sent through the MakeNoise Echophon delay and produces the raspy pulse voice heard throughout.
A hollow wood/metal block percussive sound is generated by a pair of Dotcom Q106's, a Mega Ohm Audio CdS LPG and an SSL Digital Delay. This is triggered by the STG Trigger Mini Store and reset by the Moon 554 Octal Clock Divider.
The IN-YER-FACE lead line is the Moog Matriarch through a T.C.Electronics D-Two delay unit.
Clock source was from Cubase through the STG Time Divider.
A pair of Dotcom Q962 Sequential Switches were used to route the various step gates from the lower Q960 Sequencer to the upper Q960. Routing and pitch values were pre-determined after hours of rehearsal to set up a particular scale or mode that determined what I should play on the Matriarch.
It should be noted that certain happenstance values of the sequence pattern produced passing tones that lead to the typical blues scale in C. I just had to go with it."

Kosmische Ambient on the Manual Override
video upload by Biopower Audio
"The Biopower HI Five Eurorack modular synthesizer CV controller interface, paired with the remote Manual Override faderbank, allows you fine-detail expressive control over ambient patches.
This patch blends a drone from @befacosynth Noise Plethora with a fast arpeggio on Mutable Instruments' Rings. Fader Channel A modulates the drone pitch, B modulates a clock divider on the arpeggio, C and E modulate timbral parameters on rings, and D triggers a step in a sequence for the bass note of the quantized arpeggio.

Summon the Darkness - Arp Of Darkness & Seventh Summoner eurorack performanceIMG 5565
video upload by FlatSix Modular
"A one take performance, pairing the Seventh Summoner with the Arp Of Darkness showing how the two used together can turn a small rig into a full featured performance case.
Patch Notes: All clicking duties are handled by Pam’s Pro Workout.
Voice 1 is sequenced by the Seventh Summoner and consists of the vowel patch on Braids through the Ensembles patch on the MFX and then into the retro patch on a Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio with the “MultiVersio” firmware flashed to it. The vowel patch is being modulated by Ebb & LFO patch on the Ornament & Crime running the Phaserville Suite
Voice 2 is a saw wave oscillator from the Disting MK4 processed through a Pittsburgh Modular low pass filter, and being sequenced by Sequence X on an Ornament & Crime module with the Phaserville Suite firmware running.
Voice 3 is being arpeggiated by the Arp Of Darkness, and is made up of a swarm & harm patch on the Neutron Sound Dust of Time running through a ping pong delay on another Disting MK4 by Expert Sleepers.
In-Case Drums are being handled by an Erica Synths Pico Drums module running through A low pass filter on another Disting MK4 and into Data Bender by Qu-Bit for glitching duties.
All outputs run through a Kombucha by WGD for delay send duties and then into a Befaco STMIX for mix down to an Intellijel Headphones output in the 1U row.
Additional drums provided by the K.O. II by Teenage Engineering running my own personal samples."

Monotrail Starting with Modular
video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk
1. Getting started with modular - 4 eurorack systems explained
There are many ways to get started with modular, and many reason to be interested in it. There is no single solution, modular is a journey and you have to discover and experience your own. This video is part of a series where I share some thoughts and ideas I wish I could find when I started out. Take or leave whatever you like :)2. What modules should you buy when starting with modular?
Timetable:
00:00 – Introduction
02:17 – The Monosynth
06:32 – The Sonic exploration lab
10:26 – The Performance system
15:34 – The Dedicated tool
Getting started with eurorack can be confusing. The number of modules available grows ever week. And on top of that, what you need depends on what you want to do with your modular. In this episode in a longer series, I look at a 4-module starter voice as an option.
Timetable:
00:00 – Intro
00:20 – Building a mono synth
02:49 – Oscillators
05:08 – Filters
07:47 – VCAs

Skirting the Narrows
video upload by davidryle
"Instruo Harmonaig and MI Marbles with Acid Rain Technology Ripsaw and Doepfer A-111-4 and A-105-4. These quad vcos and filter setups were used along with some 5U large format modules from Synthetic Sound Labs, synthesizers.com, Grove Audio, Oakley Sound Systems and Moon Modular to present various sound sketches of the Harmonaig's chord outputs.
The percussive opening part trigger pattern was taken from the 4MS Quad Clock Distributor, RCD, and a switch module. The Modcan dual delay was time shifted using a triple switch module in the 5U.
Additional transpose sequences were mixed from the dotcom Q960 and Marbles to the Harmonaig.
All sounds were recorded in real-time to Cubase and video edited in Final Cut Pro."

Mutable Instruments Shruthi XT Hybrid Mono Wavetable Synth w/ 4 Pole Mission Analog Filter
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this Reverb listing
Pic of the inside below.
"For sale is a Mutable Instruments Shruthi XT hybrid digital/analog monosynth. Osc, envelopes & LFO's are digital but passed through a true analog filter, in this case the 4 Pole Mission filter. The XT has greater hands-on control than the original Shruthi-1, I liken it to a budget Waldorf Microwave XT. The oscillator section allows for some interesting sound generating combinations including XOR, phase distortion and bitwise mangling.
4-Pole Mission filter specs from Mutable: "A clean 4-pole filter based on the high quality SSM2164, from which are derived 15 different filter responses (LP, HP, notch, allpass…) according to a technique popularized on the Oberheim Xpander. Additional circuitry provides 4 different “flavours” of the resonance self-oscillation, from pure and liquid to chaotic and distorted" Filter will self-oscillate and tracks decently across ~4 octaves.
This unit works perfectly and features the latest and final firmware, 1.02. Comes with a generic power adapter- 9V center POSITIVE (not Boss style which is center negative- don't use one of those to try and power this!).
Black aluminum case, rogan knobs."
