Modular session 2026-10-09 live take 150bpm broken beats

video upload by Renku Corporation

"Spent the whole weekend going deep on this one. Lots of stuff going on, this was the 3rd take. Filled up almost all the mutes! The basics of the patch is Zaps into Panharmonium, split from there, and the Buck Modular Drumf**k into QPAS into Rings, split from there. Numeric Repetitor does the Zaps, drums are Social Entropy Engine mostly, and many many others got in on this one. The new WMD Skorpion is used on the Irukandji glitch drum used as a bass, after running through a TTA Z2040 and post-wave-folder is the Morpheus filter. The Tasty Chips ECR1+ is doing a big very thing with convolution. Beads is blurring away, and Clouds is in but you might not know it. Audio Damage Boomtshack is the snare through Godsbox Lollipop compressor with Jomox Modbase as the kick through the Jellysquasher. Main hat is Plonk, Polaris filter, 4ms DLD. The Synthesis Tech E520 processor runs a spectral delay on one path of the Plonk/pan."

"The Jomox MBase 11 is a one-stop-shop for achieving some of the fattest analog kicks around. Yes, even fatter than their previous MBase01 model—though it sounds distinctly different enough that the two could be used in tandem to great effect. The module can cover 808 and 909 territory and beyond. It features a dedicated LFO with eight different waveforms, such as a true sine that can be used to create envelopes. But make no mistake, the MBase 11 is more than just as simple kick generator, it is a fully-fledged drum synthesizer. The unit’s compression parameter alters the thickness of the decay and provides a variable gate time for different attacks."

Banthai Dub | Pure Jomox Alphabase Attempt

video upload by aureliofidelio

"I challenged myself by using only the Jomox ALPHABASE for creating this kind of Dub-vibe track - although from Dub-professionalists perspective this mostprobably not be regarded as genuine Dub-track.. ..anyways, here is the outcome of 5 hours work on the sounds and patterns of that track and the final live recording."

Mad Science Lab - Tom's Big O's

video upload by Mad Science Lab

"This Oberheim was custom built for Ronnie Montrose around 1980 and used by him until the early 1990's. This synthesizer has some great sounding Synthesizer Expander Modules. In this video, the two sequencers are driving all four SEM units. I am stepping through the sequencer steps with a foot switch plugged into the step input on the patch panel A. Recorded direct off mixer no effects, compression or eq.

"A pre-owned Jomox AlphaBase in very good condition. It comes with original packaging and accessories.

Manufacturer's description
The ALPHA BASE Mk II is the sucessor of the already legendary ALPHA BASE.
Graphic OLED display
Real RGB LEDs in the sequencer
More buttons: Last Step, Roll/Flam, Store Kit/Patt, Rec Para and Rec Sample
Analogue panning circuitry for the hybrid sample channels
Improved analogue engine
Noise volume is controllable in the hybrid sample channels
More samples
Headphone volume is independent from mix volume
It's true analogue. Eleven instruments, sequencer, Midi/USB/SD-Card. Samples. Sampling inputs, balanced individual outputs.
Although it may appear similar to the classics XBASE 09, 999 and 888, the ALPHA BASE has an entirely new design under the hood. We have put in the concentrated know-how of the Jomox drum machines and of our synths of the past 20 years. We have simplified some things, but also added new components or have combined them new. The outcome is the best sounding and most versatile drum machine that Jomox has ever built."
