John L Rice Modular Synth Performance at the 2018 Seward Park MOTS

Published on May 14, 2018 John L Rice

"This is a recording of my performance at last Saturday's MOTS event and a still shot of my setup. This is an ambient/atmospheric drone with some sequencing. (so no drum beats, vocals, guitar solos or any sort of predictable structure! ;-) It will sound best when listened to on a great system that can reproduce very low frequencies (sub woofer needed) although I'm not sure yet if the YT compression will ruin the sound or not.

I used my briefcase sized eurorack modular synthesizer featuring Synth Tech E330 VCOs and E102 Quad Temporal Shifter, and a Strymon Magneto delay etc and a TC Electronic T2 reverb pedal."

Spirits Of The Temple Electric - Live At MOTS -

Published on Feb 20, 2017 John L Rice

"This is audio of my performances at Modular On The Spot using my small custom eurorack briefcase which mainly consists of modules from Synthesis Technology, Happy Nerding, Doepfer, Erica Synths, Mutable Instrumentsand a few others. The lid contains a Mackie 402-VLZ3 mixer and two TC Electronics pedals.

Thanks to Bradley Millington for inviting me to play both times and thanks to Donald Crunk for connecting me with Bradley! :-) Also kudos to Bradley for organizing, running and recording the Seattle MOTS events!

Check out MOKEDO, a great space in Seattle for performing and experiencing all things artistically creative!
