We are proud to announce that we have added a multi-mode STEREO reverb to our lineup. Featuring detailed reverbs created to work well within a modular setup, this module is sure to add new sounds and textures to your case that are sure to inspire you.

With multiple reverb algorithms, the Q215 can easily fill the role of everything from a subtle spatial enhancer to an intense sonic shaper -- especially if you add modulation to any of the four CV inputs. You may find yourself in some decidedly abstract territory, creating dream-like soundscapes or ambient dub workouts with just a twist of a knob.

We have chosen ease of use over pages of menus. Simply use the Mode button to select the next algorithm. Some are more natural while others are decidedly synthetic.

The Q215 features a wide range of reverb styles, some of which even include period accurate sample rate adjustments to capture the proper tone. (The two Abstract Large Hall algorithms are decidedly dark and gritty -- part of that darkness comes from the 32Khz sample rate for those modes.)

The module puts out a STEREO SIGNAL (though it still sounds great in mono) from a mono input or a stereo input. The module will process all the usual +/-5V signals but can also work with line level signals as well, such as drum machines and synthesizers. The built in GAIN control allows the user to adjust the headroom and can be pushed into slight clipping if so desired.

This one seem to draws a lot of inspiration from the H 3000 "Ultra Harmonizer" by Eventide even tho it's not a clone at all. It let you use four effects and route them in many different ways using algorithms that look very much like the ones you would find in a 4-OP FM synthesizer (who said Algo?!). It's a great module, very powerfull and quite easy to use even for someone like me who does not like screens on modules."

Dyn from Timo Rozendal is a stereo transient shaper that's exceptional at creating hard hitting percussion or dialing back overly aggressive transients in your mix. It includes a suite of dynamics processing tools based on Surreal Machine's Crack plugin and optimized for drum sounds. A transient shaper is a specialized kind of limiter with an ultra fast attack stage envelope that works primarily on hard spikes in volume such as the initial impact of a stick hitting a drum.The large attack and sustain knobs provide the core parameter adjustments on Dyn. Lower the attack time to create sharp hits that cut through the mix, or increase it to smooth out harsh transitions. Adjust sustain to control the body of the hit post-transient, either making it fuller or tighter. Use the noise gate to reduce the level of quieter sounds between hits, crank the maximizer to push the overall level, and adjust the limiter to set the peak. Blend in your dry signal with the processed sound for parallel processing of your sounds. At the end of the chain, a clipper controls the final output level. Route an external CV source to any of the main parameters to add additional automation. Dyn from Timo Rozendal perfectly pairs with your drum voices or samples, particularly when you need them to stand out in the mix.

Random melody synthesis from outer space
Shooting Stars is a Eurorack CV sequencer unlike any other in modular synthesis. A musical, performance-oriented sequencer built around tactile controls, visual feedback, and generative creativity.

At the center of the interface are four aluminium encoder knobs, each paired with a LED strip that shows the value of the parameters as well as the notes. Together, these four encoders form the entire control surface: designed for expressive live interaction rather than menu diving.

Mutable Noise Mutations | Plaits alternative firmware by iNit-Crioxica

"OK, trust me on this. ‪@init-crioxica‬ has released a firmware for Plaits that's completely dedicated to Noise Music, and it can/could be used for making noise. However, it offers 28 presets - or banks with tons of insanely cool sounds. Sure, there's noise, but I found countless leads and textures which are too good to be true, but entirely true. I am not a fan of noise music so I explored the 'sweeter' side of the firmware, which comes down to using the knobs differently. At first I thought it didn't track pitch, but it does V/OCT when the preset allows it. Some are mutated, modulated, randomized, etc so pitch is useless. But tonal voices just track beautifully. Here, Plaits gets some help from Bruxa and Plexlphon, a combo I am starting to love a lot.

A powerful dual arpeggiator built for precise pitch, flexible timing and hands-on modulation. Both arpeggiators share the same scale or chord, while keeping independent control over mode, speed, floor note, octave range, gate length, glide and output behaviour. Two precision 16-bit CV outputs provide highly accurate 1V/oct tracking across a full 10-octave range. They can also operate as stepped modulation outputs, with adjustable glide between values.

A five-route CV router lets one bipolar CV input control up to five parameters at once, making it easy to create evolving patterns without extra utility modules. Each arpeggiator can advance from the internal or MIDI clock while also responding to its own trigger input, or run entirely from triggers.

Dedicated gate and wrap outputs provide a gate for every step and a trigger whenever an arpeggio completes its loop. A shared reset input restarts both arpeggiators, while MIDI can update the active scale or chord, sync other devices and send both arpeggios directly to external synths.

"'Forever' is an audio freeze/infinite sustain effect based on the "Temporal Freeze" algorithm on the disting NT. It captures sound at a moment in time and sustains it indefinitely.

Three independent freeze voices each have their own gate input and toggle switch, and so can be triggered manually or by CVs from other modules.

Each voice can also overdub, layering up new source material into the frozen audio, and can play back detuned (defaulting to an octave down), adding weight and richness to the sound.

A walkthrough of the Stereo Bunker Archeology from Djupviks Elektronik. Each channel's envelope follower is wired across to the other side's filter and feedback, so the two halves push each other around until the whole thing plays itself. It's grainy, unstable and occasionally rude, which is exactly what you want from a broken reverb.

Six stereo effects, direct control. Delay, Reverb, Pitch, Chorus/Flanger, Texture and a Color filter. Each on a single bipolar control, where the centre is off and each direction opens a different character. An internal Motion modulator animates them all while you play and everything is under CV.

"A short musical example with B.A.C.H., a generative Eurorack module.

Here, B.A.C.H. is used to build a polyphonic fugue, with several voices developing and interacting over time.

B.A.C.H. was designed to explore generative composition, counterpoint, repetition and evolution (without trying to replace the musician!)."

B.A.C.H. generates melodic, harmonic and rhythmic structures in real time. At each clock pulse, it determines the activity of the four tracks, along with their pitches, durations and dynamics. The result is shaped by the selected compositional language and the constraints defined by the musician.

The module controls a modular system directly through its Gate, Pitch and Mod outputs. It can also control MIDI synthesizers and sound modules. Each voice has its own configurable MIDI channel.

Twelve compositional languages
FUGUE constructs a multi-voice exposition from a subject, answers, a countersubject and episodes.

CANON develops a leading line through imitation, transposition, delay, contrary motion, retrograde or augmentation.

PROBA uses Markov chains and several transition vocabularies to produce directed randomness.

TINTINNABULI combines a melodic voice with voices whose notes are drawn from a triad or the current chord.

MINIMAL applies gradual processes of phase shifting, addition, substitution and hocketing.

"ARC’s D6 is a 3hp pseudorandom logic generator that models rolling a six sided die. When a pulse is sent to the 'roll' input, one of the six outputs goes high (approx 6v). This logic high is held until another pulse is sent to 'roll.'

The D6 is a built on 20th century CMOS technology - no code, no firmware, no microcontrollers. Output 3 and 4 have a higher chance of being rolled than outputs 1, 2 and 5, 6. It is possible that the same output is rolled on consecutive pulse inputs, in which case no change to the high logic output will be noted.

Add indeterminacy to your patches, or several D6 can be patched in an analogue computer to automate dice rolling for tabletop roleplaying games like Shadowrun... I guess?"

WGD Modualr Has Been Busy… 3 New Eurorack Projects!

"In this video, I’m giving you a quick update on what I’ve been working on over the summer and showing three new projects that have recently made their way into my Eurorack setup.

🎛️ First up is kefir, a simple 24HP four-channel stereo mixer with input normalization. I needed another stereo mixer for my 1U row, so I took one of my already proven mixer designs and turned it into a dedicated 1U utility module.

🍉 I also made a 1U version of melon. Since a 4HP Eurorack module fits perfectly into a 1U row when rotated by 90 degrees, I designed a new 22HP panel for the existing melon PCB. The module now fits nicely into my 1U row, and there are already more new firmwares in development including a port of the Mutable Instruments Elements engine.

🌱 Lastly, I completely redesigned my Daisy-based stereo multi-effects module. The new version is called carciofo and is built around the new Electrosmith Seed 3. It is only 6HP wide and adds two buttons and a WS2812B RGB LED for a much more flexible interface.

For this video I’m also taking the new Quattro firmware for a spin, which puts drive, chorus, delay and reverb behind the four knobs."
