Pucktronix - The Oracle - CV Learn/Play Control Demo

Published on Aug 27, 2016 Greg Surges

This video demonstrates a new feature for the Pucktronix "The Oracle" eurorack synthesis module. "The Oracle" is a machine-learning sequencer that learns control voltage patterns and produces generative variations on those patterns. This demo shows the use of CV input to switch between learning new patterns and producing variations on those patterns.

This feature will appear in the next firmware update."

Pattern-based Minimalism with Pucktronix The Oracle Machine Learning Eurorack Sequencer

Published on Aug 18, 2016 Greg Surges

"For more on The Oracle: http://www.pucktronix.com/eurorack/th...

This video demonstrates the use of The Oracle in a compositional context. The Beatstep Pro sequencer drives one oscillator and is used to train The Oracle. The Oracle generates new sequences based on the output of the Beatstep Pro, and these drive a second oscillator. Both the original sequences and the variations are heard simultaneously"

Pucktronix - The Oracle Eurorack Module Introduction

Published on Jul 30, 2016 Greg Surges

"The Oracle is a control voltage (CV) sequencer in the Eurorack format. The module is based on a machine learning algorithm that can detect repeated patterns in a sequence. The device learns a control sequence (think a melody) and produces variations on that initial sequence in a musically meaningful way (think theme and variations).

The algorithm builds a model of the syntax of the sequence that then allows for the generation of new, closely related sequences. These new sequences follow the logic and structure of the original sequence, but with different orderings.

Pucktronix Tabula Rasa Digital Wavetable Oscillator

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

"The tabulaRasa is a digital wavetable oscillator with voltage control of frequency, waveform selection, and the amount of interpolation between waveforms. The tabulaRasa consists of two components: a hardware synthesis module which can integrate into a modular synth system, and a software application which allows the user to create their own custom waveforms. These waveforms are then transferred from the computer to the tabulaRasa module through a standard SD card slot."

"Tabula rasa is an awesome design pf Greg Surges.
You can make your own wavetables, then just put them on an SD card and the module is ready to go.

It's a DIY built but both PCB and panel are professionally manufactured.
SD card with a set of wavetables is included."

The USB-Octomod is a USB device which allows generation of computer-controlled analog synthesizer control voltages in the range of approximately +/- 5V. Using a small open-source and cross-platform host application, the user is able to control the 8 output channels of the Octomod through a simple OSC interface. The OSC interface allows composers, musicians, etc. to control the Octomod from their software environment of choice.
