"'King Beat' Rhythm-Matic R2000 Drum Machine Vintage - Wood Finish. Likely distributed through Sears. Fully functional with a killer sound. Interesting low end that sounds killer distorted and smashed with compression. All patterns work with consistent tempo. The metronome sounds like a bass drum which is useful. Fun and straightforward machine."

Linn LM-1 LinnDrum Computer SN 00035 Built In Roger Linn's Home

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

"RARE piece of Linn Drum LM-1 history. This machine has been updated by the one and only Bruce Forat from Forat Electronics. Bruce is THE repairman for these machines and he has this one cleaned up oh so nice.

Debuting in 1980, these first LM-1 were $5,000 then! During my research, I found that Roger Linn created the first 35 of the machines in a room in his house. This gem is #00035 meaning this was the last one built by Roger before mass production!

This comes with a custom made dust cover and I'm guessing an original manual in a cool shade of Chevy Chase pool blue 80s folder! It will be shipped in a SKB 24x24 case built like a tank.

I've held onto this machine for 25 years and had Bruce tweak it along the way. Now it's time for me to purchase a vehicle so I hope someone else can love it as much as I have. I had Bruce to add the exact signature Prince clap sound as heard on the Purple Rain album. I can also give the winner Bruce's contact information as he is a tremendous resource."

"The kick is out if this world, the sequencing is such a breeze. The snare and hats are perfect. The cymbal is such an 808 as are the clap, cowbell, rim shot and toms. It's really great that an analog 808 can be had without costing as much as a decent car!"

"Really fun and underrated sequencer. Very playable, has a bunch of Elektron and Mutable Instruments features built in. Works perfect -- the only item of note is that the led indicator for incoming midi doesn't work. Midi input works fine."

HARTMANN NEURON

via this Reverb listing

"The German-made Hartmann Neuron is a polyphonic synthesizer that broke new ground using a new form of synthesis and sound-modeling they say was based on technology found in neural networks. What the Neuron actually does is it analyzes audio files (samples) and creates digital computer models of these sounds which can then be re-synthesized and processed using the extensive amount of on-board data-wheels and joysticks with control of more 'musical' sonic aspects such as instrument shape, size and acoustic behavior. The joysticks allow for real-time tweaking of up to three parameters at once - 3D modeling in a true 5.1 surround sound environment."

Moog Minimoog Voyager Aluminum Edition SN 014 w/ Black Central Panel

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

Compared the top middle panel to others in previous posts here.

"Basically the sickest, sleekest, stone cold coolest Voyager of all time. To say it's rare is an understatement. They only made 100 "Aluminum Edition" Voyagers and less than a handful of those were made with the all black front panel. I've been following these for years and I've only ever seen two including this one.

The all black panel wasn't the original design speck for the Aluminum Voyagers - as you can see from other Aluminum Voyagers on Reverb and from pictures online. I showed it to a friend who worked at Moog for 10+ years as their main repair tech and he'd never seen one, but speculated that it was probably custom built at their factory by an employee who built it custom for themselves.

But whatever the case, it's absolutely stunning and really modernizes the the look of the synth. The Aluminum Edition is cool, but this thing looks like a Ferrari! Easily the coolest piece of kit to come through the studio. Not a scratch on it! Comes with a gooseneck lamp and a Moog rolling rack case (that's immaculate as well)."

MCU BASED PROGRAMMER UPGRADE

In July 2025 a new MCU-based programmer pcb was installed giving it functionality and patch storage not available in the original. More details below and available here

64 programs in 8 banks of 8
Programs are stored in non-volatile EEPROM. No battery needed.
After a program is loaded, only controls that have moved are "live", so patch editing is now possible.
Manual mode forces all controls to be "live".
Optional (non-volatile setting) periodic flash of current bank selection
Optional (non-volatile setting) quantization of coarse freq for oscillator 1 to octaves
Comes with 24 pre-programmed patches, which can be over-written later if you chose
Smaller pcb mounts on four of the existing standoffs, providing better access to pcb underneath
Implemented connectors are the same as original programmer for easy installation
All IC's are socketed. All components are through-hole.
20-turn trimpot for easier one-time oscillator tuning adjustment
SYNHOUSE MIDIJACK UPGRADE

In 2009 a Synhouse Midijack was installed - More detail below and here

MIDI channel selection (to select MIDI reception channel 1-16)
MIDI panic button (to silence stuck MIDI notes)
MIDI Off mode (useful for keeping unused synthesizers silent onstage or for selecting built-in / local analog keyboard control and external control via control voltage gate interface jacks, also known as CV/gate control)
MIDI On mode (normal operation)
4-note buffer (for musical trill effects and for relaxed performance with automatic error correction)
Single note triggering (for legato performance)
Multiple note triggering (for articulated performance)
MIDI transpose select mode (for deeper bass)
Analog CV calibration mode
Receives MIDI Note On messages (full range, MIDI notes 0-127)
Receives MIDI Note Off messages (full range, MIDI notes 0-127)

"The Korg Trident is a polyphonic multi-section synthesizer released by Korg in 1980, combining three distinct synthesizers within a single instrument: a polyphonic section with two VCOs, alongside dedicated String and Brass sections.[1] The polyphonic synthesizer section allows for eight-note polyphony with dual oscillators. The String section offers an ensemble effect and simple attack/release envelope controls, whereas the Brass section features an independent filter and a dedicated ADSR envelope. These sections can be assigned to two different regions of the keyboard independently, and the Trident also offers a flanger effect along with a joystick for pitch bending and modulation."
