Living the Euclidean Dream - A Hands-Off Eurorack Patch
video upload by Scrapcode Modular
"A slow, relaxing musical meditation on Eurorack. No post processing - audio goes straight from the rack's headphone output to the camera input.
Patch notes:
Audio signal flow:
4x Osciallators from @scrapcodemodular QUORD - Chord Sequence Oscillator (prototype)
into
4x inputs of Doepfer A-105-4 Quad Poly VCF (low pass filter)
into
4x inputs of @behringer Four Play VCA
into
4x inputs of @Dreadbox-synths Psychosis (adding panning movement and delay effect)
into
Stereo input on @behringer rack mixer (adding stereo chorus/reverb effect)
into
Stereo input on camera
Envelope modulation:
@scrapcodemodular WONK - Quad Envelope Generator is controlling both the VCF and VCA for each of the four notes individually. This is being triggered by the @scrapcodemodular AXIOM - Euclidean Rhythm Generator, which is set to a 15 step pattern. The trigger for the bass note is multed to the QUORD's 'Play Next' input to progress the chord each time a bass note is played. This gives a slow 12/8 feel due to the 8 chord sequence, but as AXIOM is running over 15 steps, any repetitions in rhythm are spread throughout the pattern rather than being repeated each bar.
LFO modulation:
As well as the Psychosis adding stereo interest, slow LFOs have been patched into various parameters on AXIOM to keep the rhythm changing - not so much as to be jarring or unfamiliar, but enough that the same order of notes almost never repeats. Further cyclical modulation has also been applied to the WONK parameter (changing envelope timings) and the filter's cutoff frequency. LFOs have been attenuated using @scrapcodemodular QUATT - Multenuverter."

Scrapcode Modular Introcues ORAND - Passive Logic Gates Eurorack Module
via Scrapcode Modular
"This module is a set of passive logic gates – two OR gates and two AND gates.Signals will pass through the OR gates whenever a voltage is applied to any of their Inputs.
Signals will pass through the AND gates whenever a voltage is applied to both of their Inputs at the same time.
These are both designed to be used with trigger or gate signals presented to their Inputs, but may also give interesting results when other CV (or indeed audio) is applied. Experiment to find out what works best for you!
As with all Scrapcode Modular products, Inputs are signified by silver jack nuts, while Outputs are red.
Most Outputs are normalled to the Input of another gate, as signified by the small arrows, meaning that their signal will automatically be passed on when no patch cable is inserted to the corresponding Input.
NB: Due to the passive nature of this module, there is some inevitable voltage drop as signals pass through it, and therefore other modules with particularly sensitive inputs may not register signals processed by ORAND.
For more information please see the Quickstart Guide on the Manuals and DIY Instructions page."
Scrapcode is also running a 15% off summer sale until the end of August - details on the website.

Jam - Arturia Minibrute 2S and Eurorack w/ Scrapcode Modules
video upload by Scrapcode Modular
"A little jam making use of my new @ArturiaOfficial Minibrute 2S and Eurorack rig.
Kick and bass are being generated and sequenced by the 2S, while pad and bleeps are a mixture of @scrapcodemodular AXIOM, WONK and (prototype) QUORD, running through a Doepfer Quad-Filter and @Dreadbox-synths Psychosis.
All sounds created live and recorded directly from the rack - the only post-processing is a gentle limiter and level boost."

140bpm LIVE SET and FULL RIG WALKTHROUGH! 🎛️ w/ Scrapcode Modular's AXIOM and WONK
video upload by Electronisounds Audio
"I got carried away checking out a couple of new modules from SCRAPCODE MODULAR: AXIOM and WONK. What started as a quick initial test and exploration, turned into this full 140bpm set with techno and psytrance vibes.
I'll play the set for a bit, then go over the entire rig, and explain what does what and how it all works together."

AXIOM - Euclidean Rhythm Generator

2. AXIOM - 9/8 Jam
3. AXIOM - Long Pattern
AXIOM is a Eurorack module based on the popular concept of the Euclidean Rhythm, where a defined number of HITS is evenly distributed throughout a sequence.
It allows two CV inputs for each if its four lanes – one for the number of HITS in each lane, and a second for either the number of STEPS in each sequence or for an OFFSET to its starting position.
Each sequence can be assigned a different length, causing the rhythms in each lane to move in and out of phase with one another. A pattern of up to 21,840 steps is possible before repeating if the right settings are chosen!*
An internal clock or external CV trigger can be used to progress the sequencer.
AXIOM is available as either a DIY Kit or as a fully assembled product.

*Hint – use STEPS MODE and set the STEPS values to 13, 14, 15 and 16.
WONK - Quad Envelope Generator for Eurorack

04:51 Outro
WONK is a four lane envelope generator with a twist!
Each lane shares the same Attack and Release controls, but these can be further modified by the Wonk parameter:
More Wonk will make the top envelopes longer and the bottom envelopes shorter.
Less Wonk will make the top envelopes shorter and the bottom envelopes longer.
WONK can run in Attack-Release, Hold-Release or Looping modes, and is available fully built or as a DIY kit.
