San Francsico, January 14th, 2014 - Twisted Tools have released ULTRALOOP, a first-of-its-kind loop remixing sampler with a fast and intuitive visual workflow for Native Instruments *Reaktor. ULTRALOOP combines advanced loop layering, comping, effect processing and automation techniques to generate new grooves, riffs and song ideas. You can use ULTRALOOP with the included factory sample library or to remix your own samples, injecting new life into any existing loop library. ULTRALOOP is available now from the Twisted Tools Shop for $69.

At the core of ULTRALOOP is an advanced loop layering engine and sequencer, capable of both layering and comping - a production technique that allows you to flip between layered tracks that are playing back simultaneously, by muting and un-muting slices of each layer. Up to eight tracks with loops of any BPM can be layered or comped together in real-time and can be further processed using the all-new Gestural FX engine. The Gestural FX engine automatically generates dynamic effect movements that ramp and modulate over time, using a suite of creative effects designed to produce endless fills, articulations and variations.

To create additional loops and variations, ULTRALOOP features and endless supply of randomization functions, connected to a unique Preset Grid system for each main parameter group. A Preset Grid allows you to store, recall and automate settings by using a dynamic memory grid made up of 17 slots that can be played on-the-fly. The settings for the entire instrument, including all the parameter Preset Grids can be stored and recalled in one of eight Global Scenes, allowing you to create infinite loop variations. All the relevant instrument features can be played with live, without skipping a beat, by using a mouse, MIDI or OSC.

ULTRALOOP comes bundled with various additional content, including an iPad *Lemur template by Antonio Blanca and a factory loop library by artists from Enig’matik, Loopmasters and Sounds of Revolution. A series of Ultraloop Expansion Packs are available separately and feature loops and presets by artists such as Si Begg, Dusty Fungus and Chris Carter.

Twisted Tools Releases MSMAX for Reaktor

"Maximizer and Mid/Side Matrix

San Francisco, June 19th, 2013 – Twisted Tools has released MSMAX, a Maximizer effect and Mid/Side Matrix plugin for Reaktor. Get a 15% OFF Coupon when you purchase MSMAX now through August as part of the Twisted Tools 'Summer Special'.

As a Maximizer, MSMAX can be used for anything from subtle to extreme loudness maximization to get individual tracks or mixes sounding loud and finalized. As a Mid/Side matrix, MSMAX can be used to encode, decode and process Mid/Side signals to add width or create stereo imaging effects. With near-zero latency and CPU efficient code, you can use it on any type of track and run multiple instances without bogging down your system.

MSMAX also features a flexible and easy to use insert effects path, that allows you to insert your own effects to be applied to either the Left/Right or Mid/Side signals. To get you started, MSMAX includes an example effect called Nanoverb, which allows you to apply EQ and/or Reverb to any channel.

Lastly, MSMAX has a Sidechain Ducker at the output stage for some classic volume ducking or pumping effects. There are several modes to choose from to achieve instant results. "Scanning through a selection of sounds created in Twisted Tools excellent S-Layer. Time flew by while recording and ended up with a 50min video in which I edited it down. I created the sounds using the included sound bank. I'm using an Elektron Machinedrum to trigger the scenes and program changes as well as a few parameter locks on certain midi cc's. In the short time I've been using S-Layer I have come up with an astonishing amount of material to use in projects and is a lot of fun."

In this video tutorial, Dubspot Instructor and Course Designer Matt Cellitti demonstrates some creative sample-layering techniques using a new Reaktor ensemble called S-Layer from Twisted Tools.

One of the best ways to come up with creative new sounds for your productions is to layer and tweak multiple samples together to form new combinations. However, this can sometimes turn into a tedious and time-consuming effort, depending on how you approach it. S-Layer, from Twisted Tools, is a new ensemble for Native Instruments' Reaktor that aims to make this entire process easier and more creative. Using just one instance of Reaktor, you can now layer up to eight samples and have instant control over all the necessary sampler parameters needed to really tweak each one of them. Better still, S-Layer has some amazing randomization options built in that will get you thinking outside the box as you twiddle the knobs looking for 'happy accidents.' I have never used such a quick and easy instrument to do creative sound design with sample layering.
