"An excellent condition vintage Arp 2600 semi-modular which contains the sought after (and so-called) pre-lawsuit Moog 4012 style filter. This instrument is at least 50 years old (built between 1972 to 1974) looks beautifully vintage and sounds absolutely amazing.
A full service was carried out by Kent Spong at KSR in July 2024.

Some of the casing has been re-tolexed very well. Both lids are included, and everything is in very good cosmetic condition."

Oberheim OB-1 V1 rare early SEM Version - PRO RESTORATION with new Tauntek CPU Board SN 0063

Pics of the inside below.

"Just serviced by the very talented Vintage Standards in Japan October 2025. In my opinion top 3 techs in the world. PSU replaced, every pot disassembled cleaned and re lubricated, crucial caps replaced, tropical fish caps still in perfect condition, brand new Tauntek CPU board installed to keep it reliable for much longer than the original and expanding its memory to 64, uses through hole and modern components for longevity and serviceability. Crucial trimmers replaced to keep tuning and voltage stable. Keyboard cleaned and bushings replaced. Literally everything you need to do to these to keep them going for another 50 years reliably. This is the early SEM version that uses the same discrete VCA as the SEM instead of the chip based version most of them have which is more like the OB-X, love the way these SEM envelopes react. Sound is incredible and it's so awesome having instant preset recall on a SEM and a great interface to control it. These will only go up in value and im only selling because I recently obtained an TVS and its a bit over kill to have both (although awesome having a 3 voice). Selling at a loss already so please be considerate if making an offer."

Rhodes Chroma Apple II Computer Interface

Additional Tone Tweakers Listings

"This circuit board came in with one of the many Rhodes Chromas we have bought, restored and resold (we’re finishing another at the moment which we will list soon). It appears to be part of a rare chroma apple ii computer interface that allowed the apple ii computer with sequencing and patch editing software to control a Rhodes Chroma. The Rhodes Chroma website, which is probably the best vintage synth support website we’ve ever come across, has an article on this interface. You can find it by googling rhodes chroma apple computer card. It appears as though there were other components to this interface that we didn’t get with it (converter box, software and possibly more), and we don’t have an apple II computer, so we haven’t tested this item and are selling it as-is as a collectors item, or for parts to possibly get a full system working (with no guarantees)."

Roland Rhythm700 TR-700

Pics of the inside below.

"Now this is a beautiful and very rare gem that you will almost never see for sale; This true analog and unique member of the Roland TR family is very cool: it has lots of adjustable trims inside so shape your drum sounds, like inside the CR-78! This also makes this the perfect vintage Roland moddable analog drum machine. Also: individual outs is easy on this one.

This one is of course after not mint anymore after 50 years, but honestly; despite a few wood flaws it actualy looks very nice still, certainly comparing to other units I have seen.

On the technical side: it works for the most part. On the main output everything seems normal, besides the volume balance seems not entirely accurate, but I have nothing useful to compare. The internal speaker does'nt seem to pass the bass drum. The speaker has been disconnected before for shipping [because not all countries accept speakers being shipped the quick way], maybe something was not re-attached properly. Therefor is sold as 'kind of working but needs technical service'. So sold AS-IS. No returns or [partly] refunds if anything other then described is not working properly. Maybe I am over-accurate here, just want to tell an honest story where others just hope for the best advertising crap as 'in good condition'. Hope you appreciate it!

Volume is rewireable to 120v, its now set to 100V. I have never seen this unit on European voltage to be honest. For all higher voltages you need a simple step down transformer. Or give it a new replacemnet transformer when you are servicing this beast."

Korg PS-3200 Polyphonic Synthesizer SN 210231

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

This one was listed back in 2011 and 2010.

"This PS-3200 was fully functional until about two years ago, but it has not been tested recently as I do not currently have the power cable and keyboard. (It should be possible to operate the unit by connecting a compatible power cable and installing a Kenton MIDI kit.) All internal components and parts remain original, as shown in the photos. Therefore, it is being sold as-is, with the understanding that some adjustment or servicing may be required after delivery."

Pics of the inside below.

She ain’t gonna win any beauty contests, but she can kick your “I buy mint only” friends SH101’s butt any day.

Electronically perfect, cosmetically weird SH. It’s my fault…it was a UV-greened olive to brown gradient mess when I got it and I tried whitening the case and left it under UV lamps too long. You can see the original color on the battery door. While my process works wonders for keys and buttons, not so much for gray cases I guess. Oh well.

Despite the now quirky camo exterior, the electronics, rear case and keys are perfect. Power button is solid, no amount of wiggling and wobbling impacts anything. All functions were checked against another SH that I own (I’ve owned 4 and know them inside and out) and everything is spot on. All faders lubed with Deoxit F5, no crackles or jumps. There’s none of the dreaded battery leakage or other liquid damage present. It’s very clean, and as you’d expect sounds massive.

Properly matched PSU included."

"This is an ultra rare analogue mono synth, based on a design in Practical Electronics June and July 1982. This synth does not work, it does make some sound/noises, but definitely needs fixing. Physical and internal condition is quite good. 240V version.
VEMIA note: this looks like an extremely well-made example, with thought given to improving the layout, and making the graphics clear and elegant. Considerably better than the commercial version, to be honest. Very worth fixing - this synth can reportedly sound excellent - ask Lucid.

VEMIA can collect and pack: 12GBP."

Yamaha CS30 SN 4145

Pic of the inside.

"Released in 1977, the Yamaha CS30 is the flagship of their CS Monophonic range. It is as close to a modular synthesiser that Yamaha ever made and its modulation and routing options are extensive.
This one plays and sounds great. The synthesiser responds to all the pots and sliders as it should and it's ready to use and create weird and wonderful noises and textures. However, to get it to 100 percent functionality the synth requires a service to fix a few issues. Neither the combined 1+2 audio jack nor headphone output work, though the individual 1 and 2 jacks are fine. The sequencer works when switched to Manual and steps through by pushing the red button. However, the 'Clock' function only works when the synth has been powered on for a while and has 'warmed-up'.

Cosmetically the synth is in pretty good shape with nothing broken or missing. There are lots of very small dots of blistered paint, some with a hint of surface rust. The most noticeable ones are at the top of the control panel but these have not increased in size or number over the past decade-or-so. They don't look too bad, in my opinion. Inside is clean and dry with no signs of damp. One of the C keys has a cigarette burn (WHY??!!!) which has melted the plastic slightly. However, all keys are secure and function correctly. The case has a few marks here and there, but overall it looks good.

The case was designed to make servicing very easy. The front control panel is hinged at the back and can be opened by removing just two screws from each side panel. This then reveals a very neat collection of boards and wiring.

The CS30 can be easily integrated into a modern MIDI studio setup. By using an appropriate converter you can interface various features of the synthesiser via its numerous control inputs and outputs:

Foot Controller (CV) for volume in.

Sequencer CV and Trigger (gate) out.

Key Voltage (pitch CV) in and out.

Trigger (gate) in and out.

External (audio to the filter) in.

It features two voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs), two voltage controlled filters (VCFs - both featuring low-pass, band-pass and high-pass options), two voltage controlled amplifiers (VCAs) and three envelope generators. It also sports a ring modulator and a voltage controlled low-frequency oscillator (LFO).

It is fairly unusual for a hard-wired synthesizer in that it features a variety of switches which allow the user to re-route the signal flow from the usual VCO-VCF-VCA convention. For example, VCO 1 can output a square wave through VCF 1 whilst also outputting a high-pass filtered sawtooth wave through VCO 2. Another example is that the envelope generators can be assigned to any of the VCO, VCF and VCA modules and can also be inverted. Because the LFO is voltage controlled, the oscillating speed can be governed by an envelope generator and different waveforms can be applied to the other modules all at the same time. The CS30 also features an external signal input for filtering other musical instruments and audio sources, which can also be used as a modulation source. It includes an onboard eight-step analogue sequencer."

rare birds: Elgam Carousel (with DINSync mod)

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by ohm_studi_ohm

"Quick demo of the Elgam Carousel I just serviced and modded by adding external clock and start synchronisation (DIN Sync) and an extra output to have dedicated outputs for drum and accompaniment section.
I used a Roland CR8000 to clock the Carousel but any drum machine / sequencer that uses DIN Sync or send 24ppq pulses will work, like the Arturia Keystep range.
This open a world of possibilities. The second output is quite useful especially in a live situation where you'd want drums and accompaniment parts to have different fx. In the demo the drum part is recorded dry and the accompaniment part goes through a Zoom MS70CDR to have filter delay. (CR8000 goes through the Dynacord VRS23)
Since you can clock the Carousel you can even record seperate arrangement tracks without having to worry about sync issues."

via this eBay listing

"Quite rare italian analog drum machine and accompaniment synth.

Unit was fully serviced and is in perfect working condition:

- every electrolytic capacitors were replaced

- fully calibrated

- an external clock / start sync was added. You can now sync and start the Carousel with any device that send 24ppq clock pulses, like DINSync (used in Roland CR78, CR8000, TR808 etc) or modern devices like Arturia Keystep clock output. If requested I can provide for free a TRS mini jack to DIN cable in order to use with devices that uses that connectors like Arturia. There is a switch to flip from internal to external clock.

- a second audio output was added to solo the drum part. When inserting a jack the drum sound is removed from the main output and goes to that second one, so you have seperate outputs for drum and accompaniment."

Iconic British OSCar Synth is Reborn

video upload by Starsky Carr

Guestimate price (just after 6:50) of £2.5k GBP which comes to $3371 USD.

"The legendary OSCar synthesizer is back! In this video, I'm joined by Paul from PWM Instruments, who recently acquired the rights to the Oxford Synth Company. In this he talks us through their new synth - a modern recreation of the iconic OSCar - a secret weapon for artists like Jean-Michel Jarre, Ultravox, Stevie Wonder, Orbital, and Underworld - and explains how the new OSCar stays true to the original’s gritty charm while adding modern upgrades for today’s producers.

Its currently at prototype stage - but the proof of concept has been demonstrated, so the next stage is to mould it into a commercial product.

Whether you’re a synth enthusiast, a producer hunting for that British synth grit, or just curious about iconic electronic instruments, this deep-dive demo will show you why the OSCar still inspires decades later.

Hear a short demo of the unmistakable OSCar growl, discover its quirks, and see why this rebirth matters for synth lovers everywhere."
