Waldorf Kyra

Published on Oct 12, 2019 Cave Way

"Got the Kyra today, hooked it up to the MPC live to test out the multi-timbrality and messed around on the presets sequencing a million notes. no issues. All synth sounds from the Kyra.(kik, hh, and clap from elsewhere)

Anyone else have one? All patches seem very phaseriffic."

"Definitely the hardest piece of gear I’ve ever had to let go. If you’re looking for CL gear I’m sure you already know how incredibly dense and magical peter’s designs are. This unit was bought new less than a year ago and has been treated with great care. Comes with power supply and around 15 banana cables. I’ll also throw in some bare banana jacks if you want to play around with finger patching"

"This is a 5 voice card Omega 8 expandable up to 8 voice cards.

It sounds phenomenal. Recently back from Studio Electronics with a fresh calibration.

It has plenty of rack rash and scratches. Not mint."

Perplex On - Poly2

Published on Oct 12, 2019 Perplex On

"I had the great pleasure to work on a promo video for the release of the iPad app Poly2. All sounds are coming both from Poly's own samples as well as external apps that are midi sequenced by Poly2. All apps in the game are: Poly2, Patterning2, Factory, Aparillo and Zeeon. Visuals were projected in realtime reacting to the music using MagicMusicVisuals. Enjoy!"

Luc Ferrari Complete Works

Available at CONTROL

"French composer Luc Ferrari (1929-2005) was one of the progenitors of Musique concrète and a pioneer of and resolutely idiosyncratic voice within electroacoustic music. Ferrari was an early participant in the Groupe de Musique concrète and, with Pierre Schaeffer and François-Bernard Mâche co-founded the Group de Recherches Musicales (GRM) in 1958. Throughout his career, Ferrari worked in multiple forms: instrumental works, vocal music, text scores, electronic and electroacoustic music, Hörspiele, theatre and films. This is the first English monograph on Luc Ferrari and includes writings, original compositions, notes, text scores, artworks and interviews. Edited by Brunhild Ferrari. English translations by Catherine Marcangeli. Foreword by Thurston Moore. Introduction by Jim O’Rourke. Preface by Brunhild Ferrari. Afterword by David Grubbs."
