"KAWAI K5000s ADDITIVE SYNTHESIZER. Very clean example, all working. The S version has the built in arpeggiator and control panel, which makes a huge difference for tweaking sounds and is the one people go after. The keys have yellowed a little (they all do). Otherwise it's spotless, it was and still is the best example I've seen. Disk drive works, internal battery has been replaced. The LCD is still bright and easily readable/visible, but inevitably these do fade with time, and are easily replaced.

Comes with a high quality 'Thon' flight case (not pictured, its in the loft!), and patch 4-disk set (pictured and tested), plus OS disks and some other patch disks from the previous owner that I haven't tested but of course will include. These items alone would cost £2-300 alone. The OS is version 3. You can upload version 4 from this link."

via the seller: "I acquired this beauty, (restored by "Wine Country Sequential,") in 2003, making me the second user-owner. It never left my studio, except when I recently shipped it to (now) "Wine Country Productions" to service the electronics. During a thorough testing of the T8, I discovered something I never noticed during previous use--a very subtle shortening on decay and release times of 2 out of the 8 voices. That problem was resolved by replacing two IC chips. In addition, the mechanical keyboard was refurbished. I received the twice-restored T8 on 12-14-17. As a result of this overhaul, all keys are fully functional with no loud clacking sounds from hammers falling back on keys upon release. The keys trigger optical sensors instead of making physical contact, and are extraordinarily velocity sensitive for nuanced performance, and also have polyphonic aftertouch (a rare feature), with amplitude adjustment and 7 destinations--Frequency of Osc A & B, PW, Filter, Amp, LFO amount, and LFO frequency. The action is very similar to an acoustic piano. I haven't found another weighted keyboard synth or controller that compares. It mates very well with the (included) Roland P330 digital piano module, which contains variations of 3 grand piano sounds, harpsichord, clavi, 2 E. pianos (Rhodes), and vibraphone. The included T8 foot switch enables the programmable "2nd release" of the T8 sounds, and sustains the P330 via midi. You can also sequence and program change the P330 module from the T8's on-board sequencer."

"This Jupiter 8 is in good condition. It is a 12 bit DAC model, and the autotune can be a bit unstable. I have posted a youtube video to demonstrate the instability [further below]. All I have for filming at the moment is an iphone, but it should give a good enough idea of the tuning. In the video, I boot it up in test mode without autotune (it is fairly well calibrated without it) and play each voice over 3 octaves. I then show the effect of pressing the autotune 3 times and playing each voice over 3 octaves each time I press it. I'm not sure if it is a normal amount of instability for a 12 bit version, though I think some professional calibration would probably help. Besides the tuning instability, the synth is in excellent functional condition. The main cosmetic flaws are three small holes that a previous owner drilled into the top of the case above the control panel. Other than that, there are some scratches on the bottom and a few minor scratches elsewhere, but it is in very good shape other than these few flaws. Please see the pictures."

"Rare and collectable Yamaha CS 20m analogue mono synth.
2 VCOs and a multimode VCF make this stand out from the rest of the sub 1000 pound synth class.
Good condition except for a few marks on the woodwork and general wear but quite good for a 38 year old synth!"
