CRAFTsynth 2 0 - How to use the Arp Seq
Published on Jun 4, 2019 Modal Electronics
"With CRAFTsynth 2.0's currently finding their way from the factory to backers doorsteps, here's a sub 1 minute demonstration of how to turn on /off and program CRAFTsynth 2.0's Arp-Seq.
Used in combination with the onboard scales this can be an extremely powerful tool when writing.
You can see just how quick it is to program and, if you get lost with your sequence and want to return back to normal arpegiation, simply program a single note in."

A quick tip for jamming with multiple devices - SKULPT & CRAFTsynth 2.0
Published on Jul 31, 2019 Modal Electronics
"Here's a quick tip for jamming with multiple devices.. send the same MIDI to everything!
Here we have captured some chords that we are sending from the Keystep to both SKULPT (pads) & CRAFTsynth 2.0 (arp).
This shows how, with very little input, you can get a lot working quickly in return. We have added some drums and a little reverb (thanks to a lovely Eventide Orville) to gel everything together."

First Look: Modal Electronics CRAFTsynth 2.0 Now Available in Australia
Published on Jul 21, 2019 Noisegate
"CRAFTsynth 2.0 is a monophonic wavetable synthesiser from Modal Electronics and shares the same form factor as their SKULPT synthesiser. Craft is considerably smaller and cheaper than SKULPT, but sounds dramatically different. There’s really nothing else that sounds like it anywhere near this price point."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #68: Modal Craft Synth 2.0 - Song 1
Published on Jun 7, 2019 Christian's Sonic Spaces
"This is the first evening and the first soundscape with the Craft Synth 2.0. Just tweaked some sound patches and tried to discover the sonic potential of this tiny synth. And got out some experimental, minimal ambient.
At first, I like the endless knobs, the smooth glas surfaced keyboard (perfect to slide your finger over the keys) and the harsh, digital, agressiv sound.
I used for the recording the following FX chain:
CraftSynth 2.0 - Alesis Ampliton - Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe - GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated
The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."
