Pentatonic Spectral Delight
Published on Apr 11, 2016 Izhar Ashdot
"This Patch is based around a sequence using the Spectral Multiband Resonator’s Indian Pentatonic scale.
The SMR and other modules receive various pulses from the Bastl Little Nerd’s 5 outputs which is clocked by a BestStep Pro.
Other modules used: Doepfer A-118, A-156, A-148, Erika Polivoks Filter (as oscillator), Make Noise LxD, Synthrotek NAND, a LEL UDS drum module and a Roland SH-09 synth."

The All-Dancing Accelero-Gyro DIY Triple CV Controller
video by Izhar Ashdot Sound & Vision
"As part of my fascination with Sensors, I built an Accelerometer-Gyroscope based controller for modular synths that outputs 3 CV streams to control any parameter in your synth setup.
In this video I'm controlling the Pitch of an oscillator with the Pitch axis, the cutoff frequency of a filter with the Roll axis, and the resonance of the same filter with the Yaw axis.
I 3D printed an enclosure for the GY-521and I wear it like a watch using 2 velcro cable ties."

A DIY Clock Divider Groove
A DIY Clock Divider Groove from Izhar Ashdot on Vimeo.
"You can program drums without a sequencer or drum machine!
A Clock Divider is a module that creates various divisions of the basic clock which is the beating heart of a modular synth system.
My DIY Clock Divider is made from two cute little chips: The CD4040 which divides an incoming clock by 2,4,8,16,32,64,128 etc. and the CD4022 which counts up to 8 and can be reseted after counting any number of steps, thus creating interesting divisions of 3,5,6,7.
Each division is sent to a different drum module, altogether making a cool automatic groove."

Daily Modular Jam walkthrough, featuring Radio Music & DIY
Published on Mar 27, 2017 Izhar Ashdot
"After this afternoon's blackout, I started my daily Modular jam. It's my daily musical workout.
What made me fall in Love with Modular Synthesis is that although it is my music, it's new and surprising to me.
So here's a taste from today's jam, complete with subtitles describing my connections as I develop the patch.
This patch features The Organ Chords version of the Radio Music Thing plus other modules, many of them DIY."
