Seinfeld Bass Battle
video upload by General Midi Guy ⚡
George is the only one that looks like himself, ableit with a mustache. Wouldn't mind hearing a New Order/Joy Division Bass Battle.
"Is the Seinfeld theme played by a Korg M1 or by the 360 Systems Midi Bass, lets find out :p both have been credited Seinfeld Bass on various Internet forums.
This test is not 100% as i dont have the same mixer, fx etc 🛸

"Remember Seinfeld? Remember that poppin’ slap bass sound all over the show – in the titles, in the end credits, in every sting and transition? Well, this is the little box of tricks that made that sound. The 360 Systems MIDI Bass was an early sampled bass unit, later upgraded to a Pro version that rackmounted. It was a limited but (for its time) powerful-sounding machine that had swappable EPROMS to access additional sounds. We managed to score an original tabletop MIDI Bass plus a set of EPROMS covering a range of both classic and unusual sounds with a distinctly 80s vibe. There is, of course, ‘that’ Seinfeld Slap bass; but if you don’t fancy reliving the glory days of American comedy, there are seven other sounds to choose from – a great Fender Jazz bass, through a punchy 80s synth bass to a rather cool Stick bass (think Tony Levin playing Peter Gabriel’s live gigs and you’ve got it)… and more.
MIDI Bass hardware Kontakt instrumentThe MIDI Bass is a simple little device – MIDI notes go in, bass sounds come out – so we’ve kept things simple for our recreation, which just adds some useful compression and tube saturation controls and leaves the rest up to you and your funk."

360 Systems Midi Bass Professional
video upload by General Midi Guy ⚡
"Quick 'demo' of all 8 presets. Although dedicated drum machines are not unusual, the same cannot be said about bass, at least not back when 360 System released the MIDI Bass. It was released in 1986 with the purpose of providing playback voices for Bass sounds. The MIDI Bass was designed primarily for "bass" instruments but has an audio bandwidth of 16 Hz to 16,000 Hz.
The sounds delivered by the MIDI Bass are stored on EPROMS, and it can take up to four different EPROMS at once. 360 Systems used the "Real Bass In A Box" slogan for their advertising of this player due to the fact that it has "real" and not synthesized bass sounds. The MIDI Bass produces the exact sound of acoustic and electric basses and boasted some of the most popular bass sounds of its time. The included library of sounds had everything from Slapped & Popped Funk Bass, Flat Picked Roundwound Jazz Bass, Stand-Up Acoustic Bass, Bowed Bass, and much more. 360 Systems also praised the realism of the MIDI Bass as it is touch-sensitive, follows pitch bends, and responds to MIDI patch changes. As a result, it was marketed as the natural complement to digital drum machines and MIDI sequencer/synthesizer systems"

Kurzweil 900 MX MicroExpander
video upload by General Midi Guy ⚡
This appears to be the first post to feature the Kurzweil 900 MX MicroExpander.
"Demo of some of the 64+31 sounds in this of this module. There is also a larger version of the Kurzweil MX 900 called EG-20.
Think it could be related to the Kurzweil 1000 series? Sounds similar but not sure :p
There is also a built in reverb in the unit, some of the patches i turned it on and some off #kurzweil"
Kärntnerland Alpsound (Midi Expander Sound Module)
video upload by General Midi Guy ⚡
This appears to be the first one to be featured on the site.
"The Kärntnerland Alpsound (engineered by Limex) is a professional, compact MIDI sound expander built specifically for accordion and Steirische Harmonika players. This half-rack hardware module transforms MIDI data into authentic Oberkrainer and alpine folk music backing arrangements in real time.
Key Technical Specifications:
Form Factor: Portable 9.5-inch half-rack unit (1U height). Weighs ~1 kg.
Sound Board: 256 MB "Doppelpack" flash memory (combining Alpin Master and Tradition Exclusive libraries).
Polyphony: 116-voice polyphony to prevent note-clipping during complex live arrangements.
Audio Quality: 48 kHz high-fidelity sampling rate with integrated 24-bit reverb and chorus effects.
Connectivity: 5-pin MIDI Input, 12V DC power, and dual 1/4" (6.35mm) Left/Right stereo audio outputs.
Core Performance Features:
Dynamic Bellows Control: Seamlessly processes continuous MIDI CC data. The module alters the volume and tonal expression of instruments (like tuba and baritone horn) dynamically based on accordion bellows pressure.
Authentic Folk Instruments: Loaded with optimized samples of Styrian accordions, baritone brass, acoustic rhythm guitars, clarinets, and trumpets.
Plug-and-Play Live Setup: Connects directly between any accordion MIDI system (such as Limex MPR3/MPR4) and a live PA system or amplifier."

Casio CSM-10P | Quick Demo of all 5 Sounds
video upload by General Midi Guy ⚡
This appears to be the first post to feature the Casio CSM-10P.
"This video is a quick demo of the Casio CSM-10P, showcasing the five built-in sounds, slightly lo-fi, warm, and relaxed — but not overly processed and no talking, no deep review, and no heavy effects etc.
Just a straightforward sound demo so you can hear what the Casio CSM-10P actually sounds like?"

Roland GP-16 + Synth Sounds
video upload by General Midi Guy ⚡
"Just running some synth sounds through this guitar fx unit to hear what it sounds like. Dont remember what synths were used as i recorded this a few months ago :p but it might have been a behringer boog module.
What is good about this Roland effects unit is that its 100% old digital (i think) :p it also sounds good with guitar but more fun to use synthesizer etc.."
