Trident Groove Anomaly
video upload by rimela
"A sun‑soaked, feel‑good jam built entirely on pure Korg energy.
No MIDI, no sequencing, just hands‑on performance and vintage machines talking to each other the old‑school way.
The Korg Rhythm 55B drives the whole track, sending trigger pulses to fire the octave bass groove on the Korg Trident while also punching out those bright Brass stabs. The MS‑20 adds its signature snappy 16th‑note noise percussion, giving the groove that early‑80s disco edge.
Everything is played live, with the Trident’s Strings opening up the mix into a warm, summery shimmer.
Happy, uplifting, and made to kick off the summer with a smile."

"This collection of vintage synthesizers has grown with me for years. Most all of these instruments have been used on many projects, including VeggieTales, a variety of remixes, and many PlayStation video games and marketing and promotional discs. Most recently they were used on the Mass Effect Andromeda video games soundtrack. They have also been sampled and are part of the SoundVault Collection and the Kurzweil Analog Collection for the K2000 series samplers.
VEMIA note: to forestall many inquiries, The seller’s idea is that he wants to sell it as a whole. That may or may not work out in this auction. If it doesn’t, obviously he’ll be free to do whatever he wants after the auction finishes.
It all works. Everything has been kept in a clean, smoke-free, climate-controlled studio. I have always fixed things myself, so everything is operational and sounding great. I have repair notes on the synths that received attention, though most of them have worked great over the years, without much need for repairs. There are also several MIDI to CV converters so they can all be controlled by computer, plus cables if desired. And a few have cases and manuals.

KORG TRIDENT MK1 Analog Synth Demo
video upload by EthanRayMusic
"Here's a brief sample of me playing the Korg Trident MK1 analog polyphonic synth. This is an incredibly lush and beautiful instrument with some of the finest sounding synth strings around.
The synth section alone sounds wonderfully gritty and bright in a way that really cuts through. The filter tone is also really great, with a very starry, twinkly quality.
The built in flanger is quite unique and sounds awesome."

"This is an incredibly lush vintage analog powerhouse of a synth with three distinct sections (Synth, Brass, Strings) and an insane onboard flanger.
I bought this earlier this year from Rosen Sound, who had completely serviced it. Everything is working and sounding fantastic. Internally its in 'excellent' condition externally its 'very good'
As to be expected for its age it has some cosmetic signs of wear on the wood furniture and panel but in truth it looks excellent besides these small blemishes."

We are proud to present a detailed demo and tutorial of the new Trident MkIII, a recreation and evolution of the rare but powerful Korg Trident. Both the original and this version are really three synths in one: an analog subtractive synth, brass synthesizer, and a string machine. We go through all three sections individually and together, along with the new Motion features and effects. Along the way, we enjoy the instrument's lush and cinematic sound shining through.

"The Korg Trident is a polyphonic multi-section synthesizer released by Korg in 1980, combining three distinct synthesizers within a single instrument: a polyphonic section with two VCOs, alongside dedicated String and Brass sections.[1] The polyphonic synthesizer section allows for eight-note polyphony with dual oscillators. The String section offers an ensemble effect and simple attack/release envelope controls, whereas the Brass section features an independent filter and a dedicated ADSR envelope. These sections can be assigned to two different regions of the keyboard independently, and the Trident also offers a flanger effect along with a joystick for pitch bending and modulation."

KORG TRIDENT - a divine relevation - no talking
video upload by The Synth King
"I had a great time playing my Korg Trident MK2. I would like to share this moment with you in this video.
From wikipedia:
'The Korg Trident is a polyphonic multi-section synthesizer released by Korg in 1980, combining three distinct synthesizers within a single instrument: a polyphonic section with two VCOs, alongside dedicated String and Brass sections. The polyphonic synthesizer section allows for eight-note polyphony with dual oscillators. These sections can be assigned to two different regions of the keyboard independently, and the Trident also offers a flanger effect along with a joystick for pitch bending and modulation. In 1982, the enhanced MkII version was introduced, offering additional memory, improved stability, and an extra ADSR envelope.'
Enjoy the music !

What's REALLY the Best Era for Synthesizers?

And the Moog Sonic Six via this listing
"Beautiful 50 year old Moog that can do things no other Moog can do. It's the only Duophonic Moog! You can set one osc as low note and one to high note for duophonic playing, set it as a mono synth, or even change the scaling of the high osc for microtonal playing. This Moog has the same oscillators and filter as the Minimoog Model D but instead of the Mini's third osc that doubles as it's only lfo, the S6 has TWO dedicated LFOs that can have separate wave shapes and rates and can be modulated by the eg! Modulation craziness. This Moog also has TWO amps! One signal goes through the filter, as usual, but there is a second amp that bipasses the filter. This means you can have a high resonance sweeping filter sound going (which kills all low end on every Moog) but you can beef it back up with the dry out amp. I've had most Moogs and think this is by far the best and most powerful Moog. I passed on a Minimoog for only 3k years ago and sold my Multimoog when I got my first S6. Everything works. Tuning and scaling was just adjusted and it's working great. I barely play it and have some studio changes in mind so it's on the chopping block. Sold as-is. No returns and I am not responsible for any guts getting shaken during shipping. It's 50 years old and it's in excellent shape for that age. Tuning and calibration info can be found online if you need it after shipping. Also considering selling the Polymoog 203a seen in the photos which is also fully functional and includes the rare Polypedals. A little demo video of the two can be seen in the link. The S6 tune drift in the video is actually a slow LFO and not just drifting. Also the video was done before I tweaked the scaling pots inside."

video upload by Alex Ball
"A look at the reissue of the mysterious Korg PS-3300, first released in 1977, along with some history about it and footage of its creator, Fumio Mieda.
Huge thanks to Korg for letting me snaffle their prototype to make this video and for letting use some of their interview footage.
NOTE - Korg have asked that I make it clear that this unit is their working prototype and that the release date and price of production units is still to be finalised at the time of uploading and that they will announce that officially themselves in due course. Thanks for your understanding.
