"Dan Snazelle of SnazzyFX visits Control for an evening lecture and electronic music demonstration, with a special ear to five new modules released just this year (2017): HI_GAIN, KICK_ME, eternal spring, kitty eyes + dual Multiplier.
Dan started SnazzyFX in 2009. Among his first electronic devices were released were pedal (stomp) boxes at NAMM 2010 and he has designed for a number of formats since. But as Dan says, "It is not the format that matters but the ethos."

KITTY EYES SNAZZY FX LOVES CHAOS. No, not chaos in the sense of everything going crazy, but chaos in the natural systems, dripping faucets, fractal sense. Kitty Eyes has most of the features of our bigger chaos modules but with a lower price and footprint. PURRFECT FOR EXPERIMENTING.
THE ETERNAL SPRING FILTER SNAZZY SAYS: ' WEIRD filter of my own design (not based on anything classic). Think of it as a character filter --- quite intense at some settings, while nice and acidic at others. Doesn't sound like any other filter I own...Adds harmonics in some regions while removing others. Has interesting non-linearity in the Q section which allows for instability, even chaos at some settings ! '
HI_GAIN Enter a world of trash. A world of scraping hi-hats, smashed up kicks, beautiful clipped white noise, broken file cabinets, disused railway cars...The HI_GAIN was designed to create noise, to pump up the hiss, to boost asymmetrical happiness for super acidic bass lines and more. Like other Snazzy FX modules, the HI_GAIN encourages play with capital P - cross couple/feedback/mix outputs/send CV. Repeat.
DUAL MULTIPLIER For quick creation of varied timbres, Snazzy's four quadrant multiplier is similar to the classic ring modulator with attenuation control over all four inputs, giving you tweakability to create a variety of effects: tremolo, pitched noise, vca capabilities, spectral shifts in vocal samples, analog computing patches +++
"in this video, we take a look at using a bunch of SNAZZY FX modules with the sequencer to create some "out there" sounds. The Hi_GAIn, Kitty Eyes, and Eternal Spring Filter all work very well together, and make exploration of noise, chaos, super aggressive trash, and subtle dirt quite simple. In this video we are using the Hi GAIN to process one percussion sound (from the ERICA SYNTHS PICO DRUMS) and the multiple ins and outs on the HI GAIN are being used for feedback loops and cross coupling as well as cv in and out with the Eternal Spring Filter AND with the Kitty Eyes jacked in as well. Also, we are using the KICK_ME as the foundation.
With this video we are trying to show how easy it is to bring a wide range of NEW sounds into your system. And though we kept the results dry, it would be very easy to patch the output of the HI_Gain into the Wow and Flutter delay or into a reverb. SNAZZYFX.COM"

Works as a pair of dirty VCAS plus a Third Gain Stage OR as a total three stage system where you plug into the top section and then pass signal through all three. Very analog, lots of fun."

"In this video, we introduce the Eternal Spring Filter, our trashy, squelchy filter module which is now available. This filter allows for a wide range of unique sounds, and this filter has a very unique character. It has a nice amount of analog movement to the resonance as it is NOT temperature compensated, and at lower drive settings this module adds a nice wash of noise to the Q.
It includes saturation circuits on the input and output as well as the resonance section, so it is truly non-linear: what you put in IS NOT what you get out.

Allowing you to both Control other modules with your guitar (such as triggering an envelope) And use your guitar as a +/-5v signal, effects like Ring Modulation, Triggered Sweeps, Tremolo, and more can all be patched up when you use the GTR AMP module as your guitars input into the system.
Made to complement a row of SNAZZY FX MODULES (the tidal wave and wow and flutter are both perfect for guitar processing!) as well as work with all other euro modules.
The main advantage of the module is the HIGH GAIN it can produce without turning your guitar into TOTAL MUSH, however it does range from clean to nicely over-driven."

In fact in this patch, the telephone game is providing five different cvs and the tempo, the relative cv offsets, the feedback, and the analog looping all allow the "player " to guide the patch in interesting ways"
