MegaHz Festival 2008 and MOTM Drones

Matrix-12 Modification

"The jacks are not wired into the CV/Gate slots (for the xpander). I realize
the way the picture is it looks like they could be. They end up wiring right
by the CEM 3372. I just can't figure out what they both are and how to use
them."
I'll post back if it gets identified. If anyone here knows, feel free to comment.

"Me (with slightly gormless look) recording synth parts at IR studio at Martello Street, Hackney in 1977. Behind me is one of my custom built modular synths and a custom step sequencer ( a Roland System 104 sequencer is on top of it, behind my elbow), my hand is on the controls of a Roland SH-5 synth and in front of me is a Roland SH-2 synth.
This was taken during the Adrenalin/Distant Dreams recording sessions. Polaroid photo by Cosey."

Note the text "Clan of Xymox" printed on the circuit board. Clan of Xmox was a band on 4AD back in the 80s/90s. I actually liked them quite a bit and even saw them live once in Los Angeles. If anyone knows why this is printed on that board, please feel free to comment and/or shoot me an email - my contact info is on the bottom right of the site.
Be sure to check out the rest of kernelslacker's Analogue Solutions flickr set for more hidden messages.

Chasing Cars played entirely on synths... with kittens.
YouTube via steveeor
"An instrumental version of Snow Patrol's song Chasing Cars, as featured on Grey's Anatomy, played entirely on synthesizer. I wanted to upload it to show it to someone, but needed to make it into a video. So I stuck a load of kitten pictures in there too. Enjoy." "It's all made using a Korg Micro, with a Radius keyboard and a Kaoss Pad."

"Pseduo-synth, one knob controls pitch, and the other varies octave."
OZZY OSBOURNE & ARP 2600 Synthesizer MTV German Subtitles
YouTube via PlastikOD. "Ozzy plays with his ARP-2600 Synth."
When he finally gets a sound out of it, it sounds like it's laughing at him. :)
Rhythmic Variation w/ Analogue Systems rs340 Gate Delay
YouTube via bigcitymusic. http://bigcitymusic.com
"Recently someone asked about the rs340 Gate Delay. They wondered what some practical uses for it would be. How about some rhythmic variation? It sounds like an egg timer but with two of the rs340's you can swing your sequencer, create triplets, dotted 16ths, make short or longer delays for attack times on most patches. Mult your gate source, run both into a CV mixer(like the ASys rs160), run one trigger out of an rs340 into another's gate in, run that to the CV mixer too. Voila. Lots of crazy gates to send to whatever you want."
