One Of The First Vocoder Machine

YouTube via radioshaolin.

I just spotted this one over on Analog Suicide. I swore I put this one up before, but I can't find it, so here it is. Be sure to check out this Sonovox post for another oldie.

And this is now:

Liquid HiHat Beta PCB Video #1

YouTube via dolphinicus. via Rykhaard on this electro-music.com thread.
Also see Rykhaard's D.A.M.I.A.N. modular site and brand new blog.
"This is the 1st of the videos showing examples of the beta test PCB for my Liquid HiHat module."

Liquid Hihat played by my 1st analog piezo transducer.

"This is a short video showing the prototype of my Ray Wilson Drum Trigger circuit, being used with a digital alarm clock's piezo transducer, to play my Liquid Hihat module. The video is accidentally cut short after approximately 4 minutes, but it's useful for showing the LHH being played from a 'drum pad', of sorts. :)"

Buchla 208 Random PCB

via vtl5c3 on electro-music.com where you will find pdfs and samples.

"Based on this schematic by Scott Stites:

It's a cool little random voltage generator. It uses the CD4015 as its core, has only one pulse input and four pseudo random CV outputs. The board layout has been confirmed. I've built one of these units and think that it's lots of fun. It does a lot for the tiny amount of panel space that it takes up."

KORG DVP-1

Samples and info at Mark Griffith's Music. "Korg Digital Voice Processor, released into the UK market in 1986. Combined Vocoder, Harmonizer, Pitch Shift and "internal waves". It doesn't as far as I can see have a carrier input. It has 8 "internal waves" that can be played via midi."

ARP Omni-2 Demo

YouTube via officialmikethompson
"Recently-acquired ARP Omni-2 (mk2 version of the original Omni). There didn't seem to be any decent demos on YouTube so I figured I'd post this. This unit works well with the exception of the release section (foot pedal or slider) where it continues to hold random, stuck-on notes. Time for capacitor replacement! This is a common problem for the Omni anyway."
