"Re-edited version of the recently uploaded video. Here is a short summery:

This is a prototype of the Flight of Harmony V'amp VCA

The Flight of Harmony V'Amp is a Voltage Controlled VCA that can move between a dry signal, into Amplitude Modulation through to Ring Modulation and back to Amp Mod. My set up for this demo is as follows.
Doepfer A-145 LFO modulating the Freq of the Z3000
Tiptop Audio Z3000 VCO being used an audio rate modulation source
Harvestman Polivoks VCF as a Modulator going into the Mod1 CV Input of the V'amp
SH-101 Kbd CV into the CV in of the Polivoks as well as the CV Input of Mod2 on the V'amp as well as retriggering the A-145 for rhythmic, in time modulations
The carrier, is obviously a Roland TR-707 Drum Machine

This module will be available in the Eurorack format hopefully before the end of the year.

Allen & Heath XONE:VF-1 Review

Carbon111 just put up a review of the Allen & Heath XONE VF-1 filter. You can find the review with a nice shot of the front panel controls here. The following is just a short snip from the review:

"The VF-1 can be an extremely subtle effect, maybe just adding some phase movement, or it can be totally in-your-face with squelchy lowpass sweeps and scorching tube distortion. That said, I still wouldn't generally classify it as an "extreme" processor like say a Sherman filterbank, but more as a surgical sound-sculpting tool that is also capable of imparting quite a bit of warmth."

via the XONE VF-1 product page, controls include: Filters, Resonance, Mono/Stereo, Invert Filter, Valve, Envelope Follower, LFO and MIDI.

Electroplankton Trapy

via Nintendo

"Trace lines through the water. The plankton swim along the lines to create mysterious music.

Trapy plankton make sounds as they swim over graceful lines made up of linked triangles. The creatures follow the lines you trace along the water. There are six types of Trapy in all, each with a unique color and sound. All Trapy plankton produce different tones depending on the direction they swim. They produce the lowest-pitched sounds when they swim to the right and produce higher-pitched sounds as their path veers to the left."

via Andrew who notes: "Nintendo have just made Electroplankton available for download in the DSi Ware store. It's kind of wacky, though: They're only offering 5 of the plankton, and you have to buy each separately (for 200 points - or $2.00 each). I still have my original cartridge, but a downloadable version is appealing!"

That is a bit odd. Note you can still find the original on Ebay. Click here for a search on Electroplankton posts including video.
