Musikmesse: Korg Monotron, el analógico más pequeño
YouTube via Hispasonic
"El Korg Monotron era probablemente el producto más curioso de los que podían verse en el stand del fabricante japonés en la Musikmesse. En una carcasa realmente pequeña, Korg ha implementado un auténtico oscilador analógico controlado por voltaje y un filtro VCF idéntico al de los clásicos MS-10 y MS-20.
Monotron funciona con un par de pilas AA y dispone de una cinta magnética derivada de los modelos KAOSS. Su precio recomendado es de 85 dólares americanos."

MonotrOn works with a pair of AA batteries and has a magnetic tape resulting from the KAOSS models. Its recommended price is 85 dollars."

"Jag ringer på fredag" - with a one finger orchestra
YouTube via organfairy
"This melody was a hit in Sweden in the late 1960's. It was originally recorded by Sven-Ingvars but I know it in a Danish version "Jeg ringer på fredag" by Keld & the Donkeys from the 1970's.
Here I play it with the one finger orchestra of the little Viscount RBX-850 organ and the melody is played on the Roland SH-2000 synthesizer. The Technics SX-C600 organ and the Yamaha VSS-30 keyboard also played a small part in this arrangement."
SDIY 2010 Event
via Phil Gallo on the SDIY list, posted here with permission.
"Just a reminder for those in the Southern California area.
This Saturday is the SoCal SDIY/Synthesizer Meet at the Duncan Bolt Company.
Even if you don't bring a project or synth it would be nice to see some SDIY folks and remember it's a "mixer" in that folks from the Muffwiggler list are coming as well so quite a few different synths and synthesists will be there.
A web page for the event can be found @: http://www.sdiy.org/philgallo/2010_SoCal_SDIY/SoCal2010.html
I will post more info later in the week."

"I met up with California native and all around great guy Bradley Allen at The Ace Hotel in Portland, OR this weekend to discuss The Serge Modular. Bradley has been honing his "voltage controlled funk" on the Serge for the past year and recently expanded his system. He walked me through some of the finer points of patch-programming a Klangzeit panel and we discussed the benefits of banana jacks, analog synthesis and why the Gator loves the Creature.
