The music has been made with Plogue Bidule sequencing a Doepfer Dark Energy. Another one is played by hand. The sounds of these 2 Doepfer Dark Energy has been reintroducted into Plogue Bidule in order to permit to a long delay to be added. The all thing has been made in one take and has been a bit edited with Audacity (compression, short stereo delay and pitch downshifting added). Enjoy !"

New D-50 patches

YouTube via TheSynthFreq — April 19, 2010 — "Here is a improv video of some new patches I wrote for the Roland D-50 linear synthesizer. The bass patch used in the last song was a preset on the Yamaha DX-9 FM synthesizer. I have had this DX-9 for about 4 days and I am really enjoying getting into FM synthesis and understanding the Fourier series as well as using sine waves to create sounds. It is a big adjustment though , since the DX series synths do not have a filter since modulation between the oscillators create complex frequencies that are controlled with modulation instead of an actual dedicated cutoff frequency. I really like how sidebands in FM sound so cool. Sidebands are actually aliasing and are most of the time not wanted, but it just sounds so awesome for metallic sounds.
