On AngryOctopus here "I was experimenting with using a mic as a breath controler so decided to try a CS01 emulation. Using the mic as breath controller didn’t really work out so I ditched it, but the synth itself is ok. The breath control responds to both midi expression and breath messages."

No sounds coming from Roland. The drums and Seqencer are from the Korg MicroX. All patches from the Yamaha sy77 & Moog little Phatty are programed by me, Tony caruso. This song sample was a bit to long ... but this demo was for showing off the patches from the synths."
YouTube via zamisers7k — May 03, 2010 — "Nothing special, just testing out the Kodak Zi8 Mic input to see how youtubee it'll work for using with demos in HD so don't have to mix/sync vid and sound in post edit.
The Micron is going to line in on the ESX, ESX to Yamaha MW10 mixer, monitoring on Sony MDR-150 phones from phones out, CR out to Zi8 Camera. Directly uploaded to Youtube from Zi8 plugged in to USB port after recording.
Results: So far seem OK. Upload seemed a bit slower than usual, don't know if due to USB or size of file, or internet being slow at the moment. I will have to watch again after u/l to see how well it came out. Input seemed hot even though I turned it down on the camera and from mixer to a point that wasn't my usual listening level, but I tend to listen to stuff pretty loudly. Camera also doesn't seem to focus up real close that well and have to pull back a little ways. Thing is I noticed, is I still needed a mixer with multiple outs so I could split input to two outputs. One for monitoring, the other to the camera. I suppose I could use the L&R mono out 1/4 to an 1/8 from synth in to the camera and monitor from the synth's phones out if it has both, many do, however not all synths do, and I may want to include a mic for narration or other sound sources, too much BS to chain up but can be possible without mixer depending on gear, so I won't loose the mixer just yet either way."

another experiment with puredata, webcam image is passed through pix_movement object and a pix_blob turns the result into two midi note streams which are sent into reason via midi yoke. the image is the output of the pix_movement (difference between frames). All sound you hear is from midi notes being triggered live from the patch"
