"*The backlight is out, though I have used it as such for years. It will not be readable in the dark, though is fine in a lighted room. Replacement backlights are available on-line, and usually go for about $30 on ebay."

I did a quick search and found this site that sells a number of LCD screen replacements for various synths. I did a search here on MATRIXSYNTH and only found this post on a K5m with a replaced screen.

Andy Wig - EML Signal Hymn 2

YouTube via arthurpainter — June 09, 2010 — "The second in a series of improvs that showcase my EML 200 modular synth as the primary and only sound/modulation/effects source. While I'm certainly not an analogue purist, I do prefer its directness and clarity of approach, not to mention its patch potential and knobs. Nice."

YouTube via rezzn8r — June 09, 2010 — "A Wiard 1209B Joystick and a Blacet 2040 Mixer/Processor modulate the A & B wavetable banks of a Modcan 62B Dual VDO. The 2040 adds Offset and Amount control to the X & Y CV from the joystick. This functionality is built into the Flight of Harmony choices, and Modcan X/Y controllers. The scaled Y signal is also fed to a quantizer, and then the 1V/Oct on the DVDO. The DVDO's Detune is modulated my a Sine LFO."

Happiness (Plogue Bidule + 2 Doepfer Dark Energy + Audacity)

YouTube via GruithuisenCityMan — June 09, 2010 — "Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie and this music. The music has been made with Plogue Bidule sequencing a Doepfer Dark Energy. Another one is played by hand. The sounds of these 2 Doepfer Dark Energy has been reintroducted into Plogue Bidule in order to permit to a long delay to be added. The all thing has been made in one take and has been a bit edited with Audacity (compression and short stereo delay added). Enjoy !"
