Tape Drum Machines Vol 3

"Here are some of the drum machines used to create Tape Drum Machines Vol 3. http://www.goldbaby.co.nz/tdmvol3.html
Go to the product page for better quality audio demos and info about this sample pack."
via Goldbaby:
"Excuse the poor audio quality. 128 mp3 just doesn't sound good on bass heavy, sparse audio. You can hear better audio demos on the product page: http://www.goldbaby.co.nz/tdmvol3.html"

Andy Wig - EML Symmetrical

"Another improv using vintage equipment from my EML arsenal. This time it's the EML 400 Sequential Synthesizer, a rare and wonderful bundle of potential surprises. This particular piece utilizes a textural loop previously created with the above machinery, and a live sequence that cycles through its murky chant."

Roland RS09 analog string/organ

"The RS-09 is an analog string and organ synthesizer (similar to the Saturn-09 which only produced an organ sound). The string sound and organ sounds are nice, fatty analog sounds. The organ and string sections can be played simultaneously or individually. An ensemble/chorus effect and external sound input are cool features. Its light weight, portable, and easy to use.

AirPipes 1.3 Highland Chanter Fingerings Demo
YouTube via tradlessons | June 24, 2010 | 1:43
"AirPipes is a wireless MIDI bagpipes control surface for the iPad.
All the sounds you hear in the video are from external devices being controlled by the iPad over WiFi. The app does not make any sound on its own. The app is extremely responsive and has nearly zero latency controlling the external MIDI devices.
Version 1.3 adds an option for Scottish Highland chanter fingerings. Previously, the app only supported Uilleann chanter fingerings, which are quite different.
Here are two examples of using the new Highland fingering option, the first controlling the "Studio Piper" Software VST synthesizer available from:
http;//www.epipes.co.uk
The second example shows controlling a Roland JV-1080 hardware synthesizer set to an ethnic flute patch.
Version 1.3 will be a free update to all current owners of AirPipes.
More information is available at:

ePipesKeys - Highland Bagpipes Keyboard for the iPhone/iPod Touch
" tradlessons | June 24, 2010 | 1:48
ePipesKeys is an authentic sounding set of Scottish Highland Bagpipes presented as an easy-to-play piano keyboard.
Touch any key to start the chanter playing. Once started, the chanter plays continuously just like a real Highlands Bagpipes chanter.
Play a melody on the chanter by touching the keys.
Touch the drone button to switch the drones on and off. Stopping the drones also stops the chanter.
The balance between the drones and chanter may be adjusted on the settings page.
You can even play along with the music on your iPhone/iPod Touch by playing the track and then launching ePipesKeys. Double click the home button to bring up the iPod controls while the app is running.
The sounds are provided by ePipes in Glasgow, Scotland, and are based on extremely high quality studio recordings of some of the finest instruments available.
Available on the iTunes App Store July 2010"
