Vermona DRM1 does acid
YouTube via duncanperson | August 28, 2010
"Vermona DRM mk3, does a short acid set. All drum from the DRM1 with 2 pre recorded drum tracks, also from the DRM1. ABL2 does the bass line and a bit of R3 somewhere... a little bit of biscuit at the start, but it didn't really fit so I stopped using it.
I would also like to say that youtube has tainted the crispness of the drums... :("

CycleOn with Reason 5 + Record 1.5 and Dr.OctoRex
YouTube via PeffTV | August 28, 2010
"CycleOn is fully compatible with the Record + Reason 5 duo package. This video describes a method of modifying the combinator patches to take advantage of the new Dr.OctoRex loop player. Eight pairs of loops can be blended and tweaked by adjusting the mod wheel.

very_dirty_1st_vocoder_test.mp4
YouTube via Filterbank914 | August 28, 2010
"Ok, this is *not* how the final produt will sound. It's the first sounds coming out of the baby after powering it on, still unadjusted whatsoever, and debugged. But it's vocoding, so there is no fundamental error to be expected, and I can start fine tuning the circuit. - Oh, and the overload is from the microphone of my mobile phone, which I used to make that crappy video. :)
But I'm glad tjis project has finally _started_ to become alive."
Dynacord SRS-56
YouTube via repeatle | August 28, 2010
"Testing the analog stereo delay / reverb Dynacord SRS-56 from the mid 70ies.
Lovely 3HE box! Get one if you can.
The chords are coming from an Elektron Monomachine."
Sound demo of things to come ...
YouTube via HGFSynthesizer | August 28, 2010
"atm a sneak preview to some sound examples with a few patches from the little big thing to come ... Avatar ST's sidekick ;-)
and no, it's neither named Angurboda, nor Asgard nor Alpha- or Fenriswolf ;-)
though it can sound as mean as that one.
stay tuned ....

Vermona ER-9 first test
YouTube via MusicMiK | August 28, 2010
"I recently got this ER-9 from an internet auction as broken - a resistor and a capacitor were fried according to the seller.
The schematics don't include the power supply, so if anyone also worked on this unit, could you please tell me the value of the resistor between the +12V and the +5V outputs? 82 Ohms seem to be a bit small, as the power transistor and resistor produce a lot of heat, 100 Ohms seem to be a bit too large as the 5V drops with this...
Besides the power supply, all D126D (7426) had some broken outputs each, so i replaced all of them. 2 Trimpots had some mechanical damage, besides this, the electronics were okay, just the electromechanical parts (start switch, volume knob, lamps) need some more work.
This machine has an interesting sound, i especially like the snare drum. There are lots of trimpots in the unit to tweak the sound and i don't have the adjustment documentation yet, so what you hear doesn't necessarily reflect the original sound of this machine, it's just what i adjusted."
New Steiner Parker Synthasyste PCBs Arrive
"The latest prototype PCBs are in today. If all goes well with the test builds, I should be ready to start a serious PCB buy for all who are interested in about a month!
Top to bottom: Sequencer Logic and Output/Pot, Power Distribution/ENVDL/ENVDT, VCA/VCF, Trigger converters, VCO
It's getting very close."
The LepLoop

flickr by Chris_Carter_
"I got this in the post yesterday, an unexpected gift from Tonylight (Antonio Cavadini) - who designed and makes them - which was very nice of him.
I've used a lot of synths over the years but this one is something different… it's a strange instrument. It's small, much smaller than it appears in photos: it is part synth, part drum machine, part multi-track sequencer. I'm still figuring it all out but initial impressions are that it's very unpredictable and slightly unstable… but in a good way. I had a few issues with it sometimes refusing to work and also it has a tendency to pick up stray signals from my iPhone and iPad if they are anywhere near it. But when it works it is quite rewarding to use and is capable of some amazing sounds - if mildly frustrating trying get it to do what I think it 'should' be able to do - but I will persevere. If you like wonderful experimental noises - accompanied by a simple rhythm (although I'm sure it's very capable of a lot more) then this little unit could be for you.
The LepLoop will definitely become part of my CCCL experimental arsenal and will most likely get seconded into the upcoming Throbbing Gristle experimental sets in October/November 2010.
I've recorded a short example, it was performed without a keyboard, just using the internal sequencer and some real-time tweakery. The outputs were processed with a couple of Eventide pedals for some 'tape delay' & reverb.
