Moog Source Analogue Synthesizer

via this auction

"Only 7000 ever made.

Serial Number - 1189 X

The Moog Source is a
monophonic Z80 microprocessor-controlled analog synthesizer manufactured by Moog Music from 1981 to 1985. The Source was Moog's first synthesizer to offer patch memory storage. The design was also the first (and only) Moog synthesizer to feature a flat-panel membrane keyboard to replace the standard buttons, knobs and sliders, along with multitude panel graphics that were very different from anything Moog offered at the time.

In addition to the memory capable of holding 16 presets, the Source features a 37-note
keyboard, and two VCOs that can be selected among three waveforms and three octaves. Programmed presets can be saved to an audio cassette interface to free up the onboard memory for additional new patches. The 24dB/octave VCF has parameters for keyboard tracking, cutoff frequency, resonance, and envelope amount. There are two ADSR envelope generators that can be set in single or multi trigger modes, one for the VCF and one for the VCA. For modulation, the Source features LFO and sample and hold. The unit also features a rudimentary sequencer.

Used on many 80's pop hits (as used for the bass line on New Orders 'blue monday')

As close to an original 3 oscillator mini moog as you can get. Beautiful sounding filter and plenty of warm punch from the synths to DCO's."

Waldorf Pulse+ TouchOSC Template

In case you missed it, I added a link to the TouchOSC template for the Waldorf Pulse+ in this post. I also just added some direct from iPad screenshots towards the bottom of the post. If you have an iPad you can install TouchOSC for free here:

TouchOSC - hexler

You can then install the template to check it out. You'll find instructions on how to setup TouchOSC and install templates at hexler.net. You don't need a Pulse to check it out. If you do have a Pulse and MIDI on your iPad, you'll need to grab OSCulator from hexler.net and map the template for your Pulse. It's not to difficult once you get started - mainly a copy, paste and edit routine. The template only works with The Missing Link which is not yet available.

"For auction: one of the "Playpad" versions of the Soundlab Mini-synth by Health Club Music- only two Playpad versions were ever made! The interface should be pretty self-explanatory to those interested in this auction- mostly patched with banana cables plus a few 1/4" ins and main out as well. This synth is in the same physical and working condition it was in when it arrived new. The unit requires 12VAC/500mA and will come with a normal wall wart power supply for 120VAC/60Hz outlets so is ready to use for standard US outlets. More info and audio samples can be found here"
