"Greetings all, its been a while since I've sent out a news update! Things have been very busy here the past couple of months for both Marsynth and for me personally. I'm in the process of moving the studio/workshop to a new, larger location that should really improve my workflow and allow for some expansion. I apologize to those individuals that are currently waiting on units; the move will take a few days out of my time for building. I will resume working on units once things are back in order. The rest of this newsletter will focus on the current status of the Nomad, a new product, some product updates, and some info on Marsynth demos and related performances coming up.

Cycling 74 Max 6 Announced - Focus on Accessibility, Performance, Quality...
Focus on Accessibility, Performance, Quality, and Workflow
"For some of you reading this, getting into Max was no big deal. Maybe you learned it while in school. Maybe it just clicked for you right away. Maybe the purchase was a no-brainer. However, for a lot of people who would love Max, obtaining and learning the software is too much of a challenge, and we’re committed to changing that. Max 6 is the next step in our ongoing effort to increase the accessibility of our software."

uSeq v1.0b - preview
Uploaded by gugabox on Jun 25, 2011
"this is a working prototype of the uSeq (read 'microseq'). the uSeq is a compact, easy to use midi sequencer.
here are some of the main features (more will be available once finished):
- up to 6-8 tracks (depending on available memory)
- 16 steps per track
- each track has its own midi channel, track length and speed (these parameters are stored internally and are recalled each time the sequencer starts up)
- midi in/out (for clock sync)
- different play modes: single, loop, repeat, random, pattern, notes pattern
- 2 different ways of use: sequencer (the uSeq works as a sequencer) and controller (the uSeq becomes a midi controller and the 6 buttons can be used as midi controllers. a future version of the uSeq will have endless rotary instead of buttons)
- led to show any midi activity (only midi out at the moment)
- customizable lcd screen (color)
- note position shift
for more information send an email to guga@gugabox.com or visit www.gugabox.com for more updates."

Will it blend? OP-1+Monotribe+Bugbrand=FSU

"Made a loop on the OP-1, run it into the Monotribe, run Monotribe into Bugbrand modular - crush it, filter it, FSU, weird results but kind of fun."
Ensoniq mr rack + world and urban expansions
YouTube Uploaded by KiNeTiCsOuNdPrIsM on Jul 11, 2011
"A rough demo of some sounds edited with sounddiver from the ensoniq mr rack.
The mr rack is basically a fizmo / vfx without knobs but which when expanded with the 2 x boards has shedloads more transwaves than either.
Its a cross between a wavestation and microwave in some sense.Very complex."

Imogen Heap at TED

"Today, during her performance at the TEDGlobal Conference in Edinburgh, the singer/songwriter, Imogen Heap demonstrated a pair of magical, musical gloves that had audience members literally eating out of the palm of her hands. The high tech musical gloves connect an interface to a live musical production system controlled entirely with hand gestures. Developed by Dr. Thomas Mitchell, a lecturer and researcher at the University of the West of England, the gloves are like something out of the movie, Minority Report, since sounds can be recorded, synthesized and manipulated live on stage by Imogen Heap by using intuitive hand movements."
