Jen SX1000 vintage Monophonic Synthesizer with Patch Sheets
via this auction"This is a vintage analogue synth, introduced in 1978 by the Italian electronics company Jen...... The SX1000 was an entry-level synthesizer and is extremely easy to use with all sound parameters being controlled through 24 knobs.
It's monophonic, with 1 oscillator - 3 waveforms : sawtooth, square (particularly nice here!) and pulse with pulsewidth variation and "PWM" amount to fatten up the sound. Also there's white and pink noise for traditional analogue electro percussion sound. 1 filter, which self-oscillates on high resonance to create those Theremin -type screams! 1 LFO (triangle).A bit of a collectors item now, with its own "character", not many synths emerged from Italy! "

"first attempt to play around with a polyphonic patch (damn detune). start watching at 1:15 before that it is just noodling around, maybe the section after 3:30 is interesting as well... etcetera: motu/silent sleeper feeds the synth with vco voltage, sync via midi gate to 4ms scm, triggers envelopes for amp modulation of oscillators (a 110, metasonix r 54, korgasmatron as sineosc) triggers are also sent to inverters al summed in the doepfer low pass gate. the metasonix is fed into a spring reverb, the distortion/feedback from the korgasmatron sines is created using the doepfer multitap bbd. amp mod is done via make noise modemix; drums via nepheton vsti"
