Vintage 80's Stepp DGX midi guitar Synthesizer
via this auction
"In 1986 this was one of the most EXPENSIVE and advanced midi controllers money could buy. The possibilities are pretty endless with this controller. Each string can be assigned to its own midi channel/function. There is a switch on the front that allows you to disengage the strum strings and tap/"hammer on" only. If you are into programming you will be surprised how much control you have over every function of this machine. The only real alternative to this is the Synthaxe which was an even more expensive instrument and a little awkward to play (but also an amazing instrument in its own way). I still like them both, but prefer the Stepp. I remember reading an interview in Electronic Musician in the 80's where David Torn preferred the Stepp because it was more like playing an electric guitar. Even the whammy bar has a fantastic realistic action. David said in an interview that the Stepp was the first guitar synth on which he did not have to compromise his playing. He said with the Roland stuff he felt he had to compromise too much and did not take the plunge into guitar synths until the Stepp."

You might recognize the top circular sequencer from this auction post.
"This is the 1st test of the MB16XLC1, it has so many options I had to remember the settings. lol, but I will post another re-fined one, this was just a quick sound check and setup for this.
There is a timing output on both of the clocks, that can be feed into either channel via A or B Input. I am only running one oscillator in channel B and then out of B into A/In, then A/Out to the VCO.
This has 1 master clock, 2 sub dividers that splits the clocks by 1X, 2X, 4X, 8X and 10X. Either of the banks A or B and run in snyc with one another or individualy.
Each bank of 16 has it's own scan and return control switch, "right side" and there is a divider control that counts 1 thur 10 (Control switch Selected) and that is feed into either of the Timing Switch Selector switches.
On the Input select switches you can take the output of either of the A or B timing output and send it back into the control. This will allow for a ratcheting effect.
All of the 32 channels can be turned on or off, or used as a jump off point for the other."
SYNTON FENIX ANALOG MODULAR SYNTHESIZER
via this auction.
The patch cables are listed separately here.
"For auction is the extremely rare Synton Fenix analog modular synthesizer, hand built in 1997 in the Netherlands. This unit is one of 75 ever made! The Fenix is a highly sought after analog modular used by the likes of Aphex Twin and other artists. I've owned this Fenix for nearly a decade, after trading for it with a respected member of the Analogue Heaven mailing list. The sounds the Fenix can produce are like nothing else!
- Synton Fenix analog modular synthesizer
- Primary power supply with a converter for U.S. power outlets
- Backup power supply and back panel (rare), should something ever happen to the original power components!
The Pomona banana patch cords shown in one of the pictures are NOT included in this auction. I am creating a separate auction for the patch cables. Check out my other items!"
