Korg Monotron Mod In the Works

"A demo of a mod I have added to my Korg Monotron. It is still in the works, this was just to show the waveform to some people who were asking about it.

I have no idea how it does what it does, so leave a comment if you think you know.

ABOUT CAPTAIN TINRIB & TINRIB RECORDINGS: Since before hard house was hard house, and we all called it 'hardbag', there have been a few names synonymous with this harder, energetic style of dance music. Undoubtedly one of them is Captain Tinrib - a true hard house powerhouse, with a penchant for all things nautical, and a very interesting dress sense (Hawaiian shirts, skiing goggles and protective red helmet?!). He released his first track way back in 1991 ('Nuclear Powered E.P.' under the Morphasis guise), and it was in 1995 that he set up his now legendary Hard NRG imprint Tinrib Recordings. At that time he went under the name of D.R. Base, and the first release on Tinrib had a collaboration with French producer called Karim Lamouri on one side called 'Barracuda', and the skipper’s 'Funky 303' on the other. Little did he know that it would grow into one of the most respected and popular labels in hard house history. He was called Funky 303 because his use of the TB 303 in his music."

"Here is a quick demo of the MFB Microzwerg. All sounds are made with the Microzwerg. The most lines are triggered via the MFB Urzwerg over CV/Gate, some melody lines are played via Midi over Cubase. As always a multitrack recording with some effects (Lexicon, Strymon El Capistan, Ensoniq & TC Electronics ).
If i saw this little unit for the first time, i couldn't imagine what a huge range of different sounds are possible. And with the Urzwerg this unit is ecxellent for some
bleep & noise lines..."

Buchla Cake!

"Special Cake for David Leith
The cake was based on an oscillator sound module from an electronic music synthesizer made by the California company Buchla. Buchla called their musical instruments "Electric Music Boxes". The one pictured is an extremely rare model which recently sold on eBay for $10,000. The one David Leith own was hand-built by him.
