Instead of the "usual" booth the KOMA crew will be driving the press and everybody else who is interested in our products around in the "KOMA Cab," and we'll throw a big party on thursday night. Want to try out our equipment during Musikmesse? We'll be driving around Frankfurt in our KOMA Cab and demonstrate our pedals and the Kommander while serving you champagne and caviar. On March 22nd, KOMA Elektronik is joining the PLAY party at the Silbergold club during the Frankfurter Musikmesse, Besides presenting great artists from all over Europe we will have a special presentation booth, where the audience can try out our gear. And the cool thing: it's free!
We are very proud that both EMIL NIKOLAISEN & ÅDNE MEISFJORD from Norwegian hit band Serena-Maneesh, who are signed to 4AD, will come down to Frankfurt to play an energetic live set full with cut up beats and analog synth blasts! KAAP DE GOEDE HOOP (also known as The Planty Herbs) are well known names on Ibiza. Signed to Wax-On Records, they produce techno that sticks to your brain and makes you dance like crazy. Our friends from the Neukoelln district of Berlin, the O TANNENBAUM DJS will make sure we'll continue dancing till the sun comes up again!
HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT HONOR GATHERING
For all who can't spend the night partying Berlin-style: on the 22nd of March between 20h and 22h we'll host a heavy metal parking lot honor gathering pre-party in front of Silbergold with Dutch artist Marlon Penn, free DDR liquor and a big bag of goodies we are giving away! With a total of 9 knobs, the Drone Commander offers two manually-tuned oscillators and two LFOs, plus an unusually colorful and nasty filter. LFO1 is an analog variable-shape oscillator, and LFO2 is a pulse waveform that auto-synchronizes to LFO1 at a ratio of 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x. Both LFOs can be routed to the filter for rhythmic patterns. A line-level output jack is provided for connection to amplifiers or effects.
Six of the Drone Commander’s nine knobs double as push-pull switches to control signal routing and waveform selection. Scroll to the bottom of this page to view the control layout.
The Drone Commander is housed in a dark green military ammunition case with engraved aluminum control panel. The case is welded steel with an easily removable, rubber gasketed lid. There is almost no plastic in the drone commander! It measures 10″(w) x 7″(h) x 3.5″(d), and weighs about 6 lbs.The unit is powered by a 9V battery accessible through a slide-out drawer in the side, as well as a 9VDC adapter.
